Thanks Mr. Amin, for a very nice start of the new Iranian dot Com. I wish you full success with this new endeavour.
As a frequent enjoyer and contributor of the outgoing IC, I also would like to share my appreciation of Mr. Javid's efforts. This site has been one of the most viewed Iranian websites outside Iran, and certainly the most democratic one.
The Iranian dot Com will be recorded in our literary history as perhaps the first democratic website, where almost everyone with a point of view (and some degree of civility) could comment, blog and post articles.
The role of Mr. Javid in creating this site, and the efforts of his co-owners and his Admins (including Foaad Khosmood and Nazy Kaviani) have been instrumental in IC's success. JJ's editorial efforts were also key in steering this ship through the very choppy waters of the typical Iranian discourse (i.e. shouting matches).
It is understandable that any editorial input comes with some degree of subjectivity, but JJ's steady hand was proven to be great with maneuvering the lefts and the rights of Iranians' multi-polar character ... while maintaining openness, and above all, fostering the growth of progressive thought.
It has been many good years, and again I wish for many even better years to come for both of you gentlemen, and the other good members of the IC family.

ReportHello Shazde
I think this website is phenomenal. I think it has made a big difference to the culture of Iranian's who can not tolerate each other. I JJ and his partners should be very proud of the contributions they have made to the Iranian society in general and those abroad in particular. I may or may not agree with JJ or Shazde and on many occasions I have actually challenged you guys and in a harsh way. I still get my articles f and poems featured. This is a major break through in Iranian political culture. Therefore I would like to join you to congratulate them for what they have achieved. I just hope they allow all Iranians to join without any restrictions. This would add extra dimension to the website. I don't know, perhaps they do.
However, I am a bit lost, what is this new interface?
where do I find my articles?
is there guide to all these changes?
Thanks Shazde

ReportHello Mr. Hosseini:
Good to see you here too.
Yes, we have had many arugments over ideas and thoughts, but that's the whole beauty of freedom of expression.
As for your questions, we are all lost, but will hopefully find our ways with time and through trial-and-error.

ReportI second Shazdeh for what he said about Mr. Amin and Mr. Javid wholeheartedly. I wish as Shazdeh said about another contributor, he would come out of shadow and introduce his/her real self as well:)

I don't know why, but the number of views and comments on this blog goes up and down very strangely. The view count was at 300, but it is now at 14!

ReportHey, @onlyinamerica ... good to see you here too.
Yes, it takes a while to get used to this new format.
I just left 3 comments on Baharam's blog, and even at the 3rd try couldn't paste the link of a beautiful lady smoking a cigar ... Instead, it turned into some ugly doctor (looks like Freud) smoking a fat one.
Talk about a Freudian slip!

ReportGood blog shazdeh, expressing the sentiments of lots of readers of this site.
Thank you JJ and Said for iranian.com, this cyber based "workshop in democratic thinking and behaviour"! One day, maybe one day, we'll all learn that as far as expressing ones opinions go, "nothing, absolutely nothing, is sacred". Until that day, the show will go on.

ReportAmir-jan, if you ever mention a user in a comment or blog, simply add an @ symbol before their username and they will be notified that you have mentioned them. For example, if you had written @SaidAmin instead of Said Amin I would have seen your comment much sooner.
Thanks for the kudos btw =)
