ReportI love Mahler. It is amazing how he has taken a simple piece like "Frere Jacques" and tranformed it into a masterpiece. Mahler 1 (Titan) and 2 (Auferstehung) are my favorites. Since you are a pianist you may want to take a look at his Piano Quartet in A minor. It is gorgeous.
