Thanks everyone for the revolution of 1979!

Balatarin

The 1979 revolution has been the pivotal moment of contemporary Iranian progress, and here I would like to thank everyone involved.

1.      His Imperial Majesty, for:

a.       Forgoing the constitutional monarchy, assuming full power and taking as much oil money as desired;

b.      Antagonizing the Shiite out of muslims (calendar change, sex filled media, Baha’i government);

c.       Mandatory obedience to the one-party rule (Rastakhiz) – enforced by Savak through rape and torture.

2.      The circus of sycophants around HIM, for:

a.       Not daring to tell HIM the truth, and pandering to his every whim;

b.      Filling their own pockets with as much petro dollars as fast as possible;

c.       Creating all sorts of shortages and inflation, through greed, hording and collusion.

3.       The Jewish-Baha’i alliance, for:

a.       Assuming most power over government (e.g. half the Hoveyda cabinet), the various banks and even the Savak;

b.      Brainwashing the weak and imbecile Shah, and undermining HIM’s constitutional role (the protector of Islam);

c.       Running away at first signs of trouble, with all cash they had or could “borrow” from the banks.

4.      All the various opposition groups, who were so blinded by a dark hatred of Shah, that they couldn’t see anything good about HIM, and couldn’t detect anything wrong with Khomeini.

PS: it is not that only some of us have been stupid. No, not at all … in fact most of us are stupid enough to ensure the continuous demise of Iran … just wait and see what happens after IRI.

What is hilarious is that the post is thanking others for the revolution. I wonder if anyone is able to clue the author in that ridiculous blame based on untrue views like the ones he holds in the above blog are part of the reason their was a revolution towards ignorance and away from the wisdom people were enjoying with the late shahs team???????

Add your 1+2+3+4 reasons and you get 10. 10 is the length of a long object in inches each citizen of Iran has received in the rear end because of 1979. Job well done and congratulations to you all.

He's not going to like this blog i just posted. http://iranian.com/posts/view/post/7516 What is funny is that he thinks he is speaking some version of the truth when it is entirely untrue. Sorry not funny, it is hilarious. Fortunately a blaming mind like the one that points to the late king or even his team isn't asking for forgiveness, because the inability to honestly change would mean forgiving a person like that would be futile as there was no wisdom gained to replace the ignorance that was used to produce 1979.

This List reminds me of the accuracy of the film Argo, saying Farah used to bathe in Milk. IF WE BELIEVED A SINGLE POINT OF THAT LIST THEN WE WERE EXTREMELY STUPID. IF WE STILL BELIEVE IT, WE'LL THEN WE HAVEN'T CHANGED AND DON'T DESERVE FORGIVENESS. The Families and employees of Savak deserve medals for Improving the human rights of Iranians beyond anything they ever had been.

Looking forward to reading your next article on the slave trade and slavery and thanking those responsible, the Africans who were enslaved of course.

P_J. An Iranian!

Greeting Shazde; happy seeing you back!

You were completely right on all counts. Main reason for the revolution was the EXTREME corruption and the murderous Pahlavi regime, coupled with the impotence of opposition that brought us here. Those simultaneous events, eventually, culminated in the disastrous takeover of and by the Mullahs!

Although, firmly believe that, this will also pass. Since, Iranians have always proven their tenacity, resilience and have always persevered; we have been through the worst and came out “roses”!

Meanwhile, one can’t see much future for the Mullahs, their time is running out and fast, they are on their last breath and gasping for air. The ONE positive thing coming out of this disaster is that by then, we have gotten rid of this religion and the GOD DAMN Mullahs with it, for good!

Dear P_J do you care to explain when was it exactly that we came out roses? Thanks.

Dear Mehrban:

Following Greek invasion; Arab Invasion; and the Mongols. Iran has reached the super power status at least twice and, some think 3 times, and they were all after those disastrous events!

PS: I went to school with a young man by the first name of MEHRBAN. He was a great guy, an honorable, and highly principled Zoroastrian. Your name reminded me of him!

Have a GREAT day/night!

What a beautiful picture from our Padeshah. Great man in our modern history. Our padeshah brought pride, dignity and respect for Iranians around the world. Unlike these days that Iranians were stereotyped as "terrorist" equal to hezbollah and hamas groups in Lebanon, Iranians were well represented and well respected during shah days. Unlike these days that Iranian women with scarf on their heads looks like a maids and house keepers, during shah days they were competing with latest models in Europe and U.S.
We missed H.I.M dearly.
R.I.P our king.

Welcome back Shazde from self exile in Siberia!

For the Fiasco of 1979, I give the bulk of the credit to the angry mob on the street who knew how to burn things and bring things down, but did not know how to create things.

You see, nowhere in those Marx, Shariati or Hal-ol-Masa'el books there is a mention of how to build things, they are all about how to destroy things!

Dear Faramarz,
In part, I should thank you for facilitating my return, unintentionally of course through a problem situation with another blogger (see the comments in this post):

However, it is good to be back and talk to friends again. Hopefully, relationships can improve to a point where we can have more funfilled posts by everyone about one another, like the happier days of IC:
