Good comment Ghourbagheh. Aryan is a culture and way of life. Not a race. Nowadays, we are litter bid of every race. Aryans were inclusive people. They moved to Iran and mixed with Ilamian and others.

A beautiful poem, although I take the line "I'm Aryayi" a bit differently, more like "I'm aryayi" (uncapitalized). The word "arya" has the same root as English words like "art", with the root ar- meaning "to make with skill". Sanskrit word "arya" itself means "respectable, noble", meaning character, not belonging to a nobility class. Unfortunately, certain linguistic mistranslations, on purpose or by accident, led to the whole Aryan race theory, which was strongly promoted amongst European racist ideologies and continues to be used today. There is currently much doubt about existence of an Aryan race. This includes genetic studies that refute the idea at least in part, and many serious academics dismiss the notion of an Aryan race. The name "Iran" translates into "aryayi land". The 19th century Aryan Invasion Theory (and other racial theories) would interpret that as "land of Aryan race" with "arya" translated as an noun representing a distinct race and capitalized. An alternative interpretation that may be more realistic would be "the noble land", with "arya" translated as an adjective. In this sense, I take "I'm aryayi" as "I'm noble" or "I have noble character".

Our culture was beautiful and our way of life was fair and productive. Very similar to what Green parties in Europe are standing for (respect for mother earth & evolution, fair distribution of goods & services and so on).

I don't consider myself Aryan, but this is nicely written, and any nice poetry must be TOOPED!
