ReportI really can't for the life of me understand why Argo deserves ANY prize?
* was there any good acting? NO!
* was there any superb directing? NOT AT ALL!
* were there any amazing special effects? Can't remember any.
* Any special sound effects? Not one that could be noticed?
* Complex plot? You got to be joking!
* Faithful to historic facts and events? Give me a break!

Can any one please give me a artistic reason why ARGO should win even a single prize tonight?

Reportone, Cinematography is very good. Is Argo the biggest master piece of all? no of course not but among the hundreds of crappy movies that comes out every year, Argo shines.

ReportThank you MRX2412. Like most other prizes Oscars are influenced by politics. Last night the American patriotism was rewarded by the prize for Argo. That was all it was about as testified by the First Lady getting involved.

ReportArgo was such a pile of bs form a truth standpoint, it was like a propaganda hit piece and the basis for why it was received so well in the UK at the bafta's.

ReportI remember having drinks with the marine guard of the embassy, on several occasions before they were taken hostage. A friend from high school used to date him (or so called date back in the day) i am sure it was just friendly drinking. But we used to hang out in a bar on Jordan street and i met him there. he was later released from captivity as part of the humanitarian gesture to free blacks and women.
