Pan Arabia Enquirer - Iran’s academic authorities this morning unveiled plans for the Academy for Revolutionary Image Manipulation, believed to be the world’s first educational establishment dedicated to teaching politically-motivated Photoshop skills.

 

According to reports broadcast this morning on Iranian state TV, the academy, which is due to open in Tehran in 2015, will feature “state-of-the-art photo doctoring facilities” and will give its students “all the necessary tools to present a wholly inaccurate, vastly enhanced depiction of Iran’s military might”.

 

While the syllabus is currently being put together, the report did confirm that courses including ‘Advanced Missile Multiplication’ and ‘Fighter Jet Background Removal’ will be available for first-year undergraduates.

 

“For years, the West has scoffed at our basic attempts to wildly exaggerate our defence capabilities,” said the centre’s newly-appointed director Abbas Pastrami. “This new academy for learning will ensure that future endeavours to make non-operational fighter jets look menacing by superimposing them onto an image of, say, some mountains, are met with international shock and awe.”

 

The campus of the Academy for Revolutionary Image Manipulation will, according to the heavily Photoshopped image released, stretch for several kilometres across central Tehran.
