There is no doubt that the occupier regime does not care about historical sites in Iran unless of course it's mosques, emamzadeh and what ever else out there that helps promoting shiekh omati culture. But it's not just the regime, the level of ignorance and backwardness by average Iranians is so high that they are doing the bidding for the regime. The picture in here is a tiny example

Could you imagine what the penalty would be if I stood on the dome of mosque of Imam Reza? What would happen to me if I decided to swing from the minarette of a mosque in Qom or Karballah?
