“Je pense donc je suis”
If one replaces the word “think” with hate in René Descartes famous statement “I think, therefore I am”, a panoramic view opens up to the psyche of some Iranians.
Take a look at the glorious revolution, the cry for freedom was soon drowned out by the demand for revenge and hate.
And hate has been the operating principle in Iran for the 35 year rule of the Islamists, “reformers” And all.
If you look closely at some of the forces and individuals who claim to be in opposition to the ruling Islamists, you will find those who share some hate with the rulers are more inclined to support the “reforming” of the current theocratic fascism.
Be it their hatred of Jews, Baha’is, women or America, Capitalism and western “imperialism”, hate is the bonding glue.
This hatred fueled worldview can clearly be seen in the opposition to Reza Pahlavi.
During the Pahlavi regime, with all its faults, hatred was not the principle policy of the nation. Ever since Reza Pahlavi has ramped up his activities in organizing various opposition forces into a potent force with the aim of overthrowing the Messianic Islamists, “reformers” and all, the hate addicts feeling threatened have ramped up their attack on Reza Pahlavi.
It is the battle of destructive negativism of hate v constructive positivism.
