ReportRest In Peace Hugo. I apologize for the personal attacks by those who had weak arguments in opposition to your views and beliefs. Allying with the IRI & Syria was not wise for humanity because of who the IRI and Syria are and what they do to their own people. What you not could see was that the IRI and Venezuela do not have a common opponent, because the USA in fact loves the extremism of the IRI for Iranians and not only helped to bring them to power, but has done everything it can to covertly keep them in power in particular the political policies it pursues, despite the IRI's crimes and unpopularity.

ReportThat's how it always starts: a poor boy, but later a big mouth in an oil-rich country. Chavez and Ahmadinejad both were poor in 2 different countries, but their legacies of pugnacious thuggery are strikingly similar. Both boasted the demise of the United States, while the former rests in peace (I guess), and the latter is fighting for his political life. Meanwhile, the US adds more jobs to its economy and inches toward supremacy once again.

ReportSo long as the USA reports only 7.7% while over 15% are unemployed it is unlikely that the USA will return to pre-2008 levels for another decade. 1.4 million people a year graduate with a college degree and the USA isn't creating any net jobs for people with a degree, the USA isn't even creating net jobs for those who have had them and lost them.
Even in its weak state the USA is in a position of supremacy relative to the rest, yet this has no long term future because the USA doesn't have the Alliances to maintain such a position in the world today. This is how it always happens, countries betray and double cross those who are responsible for their security in pursuit of greed and they end up with neither.

ReportThe pre-08 situation was a bubble and a myth anyway. And it is true that US is and will maintain its supremacy anyway. BTW, we lost allies because of another myth: Bush/CHeney.

ReportHistory has already made that judgement about this guy. Karl Marx referred to people like him and his ilk as lumpenproletariat. He is gone, so will his autocratic rule of one man forever. Other lumpens in south America are in line to depart including Ortega.

ReportA boy born in to a Poor Family, who loved his people and changed the distribution of wealth for the entire society in favor of the majority. This Is a description of Mohammed Reza Pahlavi, who is an Iranian Hero among its true Intellectuals, who helped a nation that needed change by Improving Defense, Health, Education, Literacy and Skills and succeeded in taking Iran from the bottom 5% of 192 nations to the top 5% (number 9 GDP on earth in 1977) in 30 years, by creating the largest percent growth in the world of 1) literacy, 2) skilled jobs, 3) diversified economy and 4) middle class. The reason Chavez was taken care of with cancer at only 58 years old and after only 14 years, was to ensure that his team would not give the people of Venezuela a similar record of changes which the late Shah's team brought about for the people of Iran. Who later acted to betray his team as a result of believing in the propaganda, deceit, deceptions and manipulations which misrepresented the late shah, just like Chavez and his team are now being Misrepresented as Autocratic. Chavez was gradually becoming Authoritarian as the late shah gradually became after 20 years in power, but autocratic in the late shahs case requires a massive exaggeration of the various sides of the truth regarding both the late Shah and Chavez.
I am 100% certain that tests that will be done on the genome of Chavez will show that he did not have any genetic susceptibility to the type of cancer he died from as is the case with a couple of people on the late Shah's Team, the Shah himself and a couple of other South American in the last 40 years Presidents. A Death as Natural as taking Cyanide.

ReportThe same Iranian leftists who seem repentant of their Leninist past, such as usurping power by violent means including coup d'etat, still praise him in spite of the fact that he was arrested for a botched attempted coup. When a coup has a significant name after it like "28 Mordad," our lefties are quick to condemn it and remind everyone of it for 60 years. But, when puppets like Noor Mohamad Taraki in Afghanistan or populist madmen like Chavez in Venezuela do it, they become role models. No wonder our lefties were routed out by the Mullahs for their utopistic outlook. Their remainders are probably listening to a poem by A. Sayeh and weeping as we speak

ReportI wonder if you are a drone driven from US army base. What batched coup was Chavez a part of? He was the TARGET of a US backed coup.

ReportKilled by the US too. While who gave him cancer will not be provable, that he was given the cancer will be evident if it is not a natural part of his genome, this will be evident from tests that will be conducted soon on him and his family.

ReportThere is so much misinformation in your comment that I don't know where to begin! You got only one thing right, as far as Chavez's wrong doings go. He abolished the term limits. He gave into US hostility and abolished the term limits, so that he could stay in power and carry on with his reforms. Nonetheless it was done legally and through the elected institutions in Venezuela.
What exactly makes him a dictator? Is it that he won four elections by popular vote? Or that he did not shut down pro-US media outlets, which openly advocated for a US backed coup? You do realize that if CNN would openly support a coup in the US and the coup fails, not only would CNN be shut down, but the management and staff would be put on trial and likely executed. Or is it that all socioeconomic indicies show that life of the average Venezuelan has improved during Chavez's presidency? Oh, I know what the reason is! The US government says that he is a dictator, therefore he is a dictator. But, all the tinpot dictators that US government has supported and propped up around the world are not dictators!
Chavez won with a higher percentage of the popular vote than both Bush and Obama, and he didn't win by fraud and help from the supreme court like Bush. So what qualifies him as a dictator? He made deals with the likes of Ahmadinejad? American and European leaders consistently shake hands with and make deals with the Saudis, African dictators, etc. How come they don't get burnt for it!? When Clinton, Bush, and Obama shake hands with the Saudi despots, does that make them dictators?
Since his election, US tried unsuccessfully to do to Venezuela what it did to Cuba. And the results created problems in Venezuela. However, look at the actual statistics from NGO's and international sources. Venezuela improved under Chavez, and no matter how much you spread misinformation and how much US presidents bang on the table, that fact can not be altered. Blindly parroting US government propaganda is not really working anymore. It's very easy to verify information these days. If you honestly care about democracy, forget about what CNN says about Chavez. Take a look at the actual data.
