According to the website Iran Human Rights, a child offender identified as Mohammadreza Tork will be executed tomorrow morning. Location of the execution is not certain yet.
He will be executed along with 2 other men. All 3 are convicted of murder in a village near Malayer November 2005. At that time Mohammadreza was 16 years and 4 months old (born in June 1989), and now he is 18 years and 4 months old.
The Iranian government has ratified UN’s convention of the rights of the child, according to which death penalty should not be given for the crimes convicted before the age of 18.
