Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will pay a two-day visit to Lebanon on September 11-12, As-Safir newspaper said on Tuesday.
As-Safir said Ahmadinejad is expected to meet Lebanon’s top officials and an array of Lebanese political figures.
In an interview with Qatar’s Ash-Sharq newspaper on Tuesday, Ahmadinejad denied that Hizbullah or any Palestinian faction “take orders from Iran.”
Iran, he said, “protects and defends” all Palestinian factions and groups that fight Israel.
