1971 an Iranian MP Mohsen Pezeshkpour of the Pan-Iranist party,passionately objects to Shah’s decision to give away oil-rich Bahrain in return for 3 Persian Gulf islands. Ardeshir Zahedi then Minister of Foreign Affairs looks on in Silence:
Pezeshkpour was an Iranian Far Right Party Leader. They were a minority but still vocal for their Supra Nationalist views. Initially Pro German members of the SUMKA ( the Iranian Nazi Party) prior to WW II with Fascist tendancies they gradually distanced themselves ideologically while remaining fearlessly nationalistic.
Pezeshkpour passed away on January 6, 2011 in his sister’s house in Tehran after a three-year battle with an illness. He was 83 when he died. Trained as an attorney and jurist, he also became a member of the Majlis – Iran’s parliament – and made one of his famous speeches opposing the independence of Bahrain in the assembly.
The ideological foundations of Pan-Iranist party were laid on September 6, 1941 and the party was officially established six years later on September 6, 1947 under the leadership of Mohsen Pezeshkpour, Mohammad-Reza Amoli Tehrani, Ali-Naghi Alikhani, Daryush Homayun and Hossein Tabib. In 1951 it began its political activities and had representatives in the different sessions of the Majlis.After the 1979 revolution, the party moved out of the country but today it continues its activities both inside and outside Iran.

As Paradoxal as it may seem It is believed that Pezeshkpour’s Supra Nationalist Stance have inspired some of IRI’s Muslim Nationalists surrounding Ahmadinejad’s constituency who wish to Re Package much of the Pan Iranist imperialist ambitions but under an Islamic Cloak, hence Ahmadinejad’s controversial Holocaust Revisionist Conference and recent divisions between some hardline Iranian clerics close to Khamenei and Ahmadinejad’s die hard followers.
