Rarely have I seen much here in the way of ANY mention of the great increase in prostitution in modern day islamic Iran.
One would certainly think that from the bent of this very site being to express outrage at all things outrageous and outrageously Iranian, the stats on Iran’s rampant social problem, yet another in the long line of failures by the state to bring about the kind of moral prosperity promised not only by the many whores in charge, but by the very prophet himself.
When one says today that “Iran is full of whores…”, we’re not just talking about the Iranian leadership.
Here are the official stats from inside Iran itself. Obviously since these come from Iranian officials, the number is even fold-more. The estimated number of prostitutes in Tehran alone, is over 85,000. Iran total, over 500,000.
A worse statistic is that there are approximately 1.7 million women in Iran who have had to escape abusive families and husbands, and run away and live alone. Many of these obviously turn to prostitution.
“In 2008, General Reza Zarei, the Tehran police chief, was arrested in a brothel with six prostitutes. His arrest caused embarrassment for the government of President Ahmadinejad, because he was in charge of vice in Tehran. The prosecutor in the case remarked that Zarei exploited his office to profit materially from prostitution.”
So within the gleaming halls and all the allahi and elahi glory of this modern benevolent and altruistic Iranian state, we have the head of the Police, the shining example and south Tehran’s champion of obviously superior Islamic law and order, cold pimpin’.
This alone should prove the Iranian government’s real intentions towards women and their rights as human beings. It’s not just a “chador and chatter” policy. The outright utter elimination of women from the very fabric of society period. That is the ultimate goal here.
Blog all you want ladies, tweet, post to Facebook, text message, IM, and chat to your heart’s content. But by the time you realize it and open your mouths to actually try to speak out, you will learn how noise cancelling technology really works in modern Iran. Taking out Neda in the street had far more effect than we will ever know.
And especially from the strangely silent Shirin Ebadi camp, it is certainly working. From all of the sound of sheer nothing coming from Shirin jan, you’d think she lost the Nobel Prize.
Madam, you won, you have a mouth, you have feet. Use them for God’s sake! Before it is too late. Or, is it already?
