For a fist full of Dollars, For Syria!

There is a wide spread misconception that Revolutions happen due to some form of “injustice”. be it a “fraudulent election”, “discrimination due to gender, race, religion”, etc. This misconception could lead one to utter disappointment when one observes an entire nation as a bunch of passive observers in the face of a corrupt and brutal dictatorship which randomly steals, executes, tortures and imprisons, as is the case in current day Iran.

But actually Revolutions happen for very “mundane issues”. They happen when people’s bottom line is hurt. When they lose jobs and find their just demands for food, healthcare and housing are met with brutal suppression instead of a social security check and a social security system. All the glorious stuff, opening the prison gates, carrying the political prisons to freedom out of the dictator’s torture chambers just follow.

A “Revolutionary situation” is when you get these sparks and riots caused by such “mundane issues”, which lead to demonstrations attended by folks with seemingly little interest in the situation. We had one of these “sparks” last week, when due to wild currency exchange fluctuations, the bazar merchants decided to shut the shops, and then we had thousands of folks, some who had never seen a dollar note before, pouring into streets, chanting anti-government slogans, and criticizing Regime’s intervention in Syria!!!

One thing is for sure, one day, one of these sparks will lead to such an inferno to burn down the palaces of our Islamist rulers to the ashes..

The following video clip is for our Syrian brothers and sisters who have for the last two years been fighting so valiantly, the corrupt, murderous dictatorship of the Assad clan.
