Potentially great news for Shohreh Aghdashloo’s fans! Netflix announced yesterday the renewal of the Marvel series The Punisher for a second season. While we anticipate her return for season 2, there has been no formal announcement to corroborate this.
Aghdashloo, best known for her Oscar-nominated role in 2003’s House of Sand and Fog, plays the role of Farah Madani, the mother of Dinah Madani (played by Amber Rose Revah), a skilled Homeland Security agent who’s vexed by the Punisher (aka Frank Castle). Farah is an Iranian by birth who has spent most of her life living in the U.S., where she’s established a successful practice as a psychiatrist.
In the meantime, you can catch the talented Emmy Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated Aghdashloo play the role of a powerful politician in the Syfy channel show The Expanse.
