Gaudi’s Serpentine Bench in Park Guell, Barcelona, Spain. The surface is decorated with mosaics of fragmented old ceramics. The angle of this picture does not do justice to the beauty of the bench, for one thing the bench covers a large span and provides a sitting area with an elevated view on the rest of the park. The details of the fragmented discarded ceramics provides such wonderful patterns. This is poetry manifested in architecture.
