Highland Games are festivals that are held everywhere in the world as a way of celebrating Scottish and Celtic culture and heritage, especially that of the Scottish Highlands. The games include competitions and entertainment in bagpiping, drumming, dancing, Scottish heavy athletics, and the enjoyment of Celtic music, traditional Scottish foods and exhibits related to other aspects of Scottish and Gaelic culture. These are the photos from the 70th annual Victoria (British Columbia) Highland Games & Gathering of the Clans that took place on May 20th, a very rainy day. Enjoy!
