San Francisco Chronicle, June 22, 2003 -- Fariborz Amini, a longtime psychiatrist at University of California, San Francisco, and co-author of A General Theory of Love, a book that said having love in your life is indispensable if you want to be happy, has died in Marin County. Dr. Amini died June 13 at Marin General Hospital of complications from a heart attack he suffered four days earlier at his home in Ross. He was 73. Born and raised in Tehran, Dr. Amini left Iran at the age of 19, intent on finding the America portrayed in the movies as the land of golden opportunity, his daughter Christina Maheen Amini said. >>> Full text
