Pirouz launched one of the first
internet-based procurement services in Europe, and a finance company
named
Pelican Partners. He is also the Chairman of the Civility
Programme of the
UK Centre for Foreign Policy. He spends his days promoting democracy
in the
Middle East by engaging decision-makers in a process that nourishes
and
supports the civil society. He likes cigars and champagne (is
this relevant?).
