Many of us know Sudabeh Shoja for all the humanitarian efforts
she is
involved with. I am so proud to have the honor of being a friend.
She
is not only the most unselfish humanitarian out there, but she is
now
only the second woman in history (and the first one in 40 years)
to win
the most prestigious engineering award in America.
Please pass this on, far and wide. It's about time someone recognized
Sudi for her work. She started her humanitarian efforts from a
very
young age of 12 and has worked continuously to improve the lives
of children
and
raise the status of women internationally. Sudabeh Shoja is now
the
President of Children's Hope International Literacy and Development
(CHILD) and the Secretary of the board of International Orphan
Care
(IOC).
The Hoover medal will be presented to her in October in the ASCE
Congress, see the attached.
This is great. Don't you love how amazing Iranian women are. They
have
completely dominated the news in the past 2-3 years from the
Nobel
Prize, to an Oscar Nomination and now the prestigious Hoover
medal.
WOW!
This definitely made my day, week and month.
