I want to nominate my really good friend and roommate Mehdi Rahimi as the Iranian of the Day, heck maybe even Iranian of the Century!! He is one of the best soccer players and one of the best people I've ever met.. above all he is a Seyyed (salavat)!!! He played professionally in Iran, where his position was left midfield/defense where he stopped likes of Ali Daei, Ali Karimi, Khodadad Azizi and the rest of those jokers. Legend has it that he punched Hamed Kavianpour in the mouth, because he looked at him "left left"...Please join me in congratulating this talented soccer player and smart metallurgical engineer
