Today our beloved anti-war President and Nobel Peace Prize Winner–in chief announced that he has ordered military action against Libya. The great leader did this without mandatory congressional approval, which is required to attack a sovereign country. No doubt the Democrats (and their vocal anti-war activists) will “fully support the President” like the hypocritical sheep they are. When Bush was starting illegal wars in the Middle East it was wrong, immoral, and an impeachable offence. But now that good old Barry Obama is in office and has a D after his name, war is suddenly a virtuous action to protect civilians. The always reliable pro-war Republicans will start to denounce military action because war is only acceptable when a Republican President starts one. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. These are the pathetic and corrupt leaders you have elected. One would think that two full scale wars would be enough for Barry, but evidently power has gone to his head and he wants to “show leadership” by blowing shit up. Hey it worked for George W. Bush who perfectly timed the Iraq war so that he could win re-election by campaigning as a wartime President.

by Soosan Khanoom on Mon Mar 21, 2011 07:20 AM PDTThis is a different era ..... it is a different time ......... There are different evils that we are dealing with now ...... the people who supports many of these dictators are the one who turn their backs on them and kill them .... The very same people who brought many of these dictators to power are the ones who bring them down .... The WWII era is over ........ now we are living in the world of mass media and brainwashing of the masses ....... they kill you oh so smoothly ....... you do not even notice that you are bleeding .... What about all the freedom fighters?.. What about all the people who live under these dictatorships? ........ What then happens to innocence civilians who die in between ? You killed them once by bringing these dictators to power ........ You keep killing them by keeping these dictators in power and you shall kill them again when you want to bring your own dictators down ........ How many times one should be killed for this?
According to CNN ” The people of Lybia are happy that the USA, France and the UN have come to aid them in there war with Gadffi”..........There you go, we are not at war, were are just picking a side to help, with air cover and bombings of military targets. ........
It is all just bull shits ...... People will never even going to be given the chance to govern themselves in ME and in North Africa
Oils well ends with the keepers of wells and the keepers are not the people.
All thanks to the power of mass media .......... Check this Eagles song " Dirty Laundry " here is the lyrics
I make my living off the evening news ..............Just give me something-something I can use ..............People love it when you lose,..............They love dirty laundry..............Well, I coulda been an actor, but I wound up here..............I just have to look good, I dont have to be clear..............Come and whisper in my ear..............Give us dirty laundry..............Kick em when theyre up..............Kick em when theyre down..............Kick em all around..............We got the bubble-headed-bleach-blonde who..............Comes on at five..............She can tell you bout the plane crash with a gleam..............In her eye..............Its interesting when people die-..............Give us dirty laundry..............Can we film the operation?..............Is the head dead yet?..............You know, the boys in the newsroom got a..............Running bet..............Get the widow on the set!..............We need dirty laundry..............You dont really need to find out whats going on..............You dont really want to know just how far its gone..............Just leave well enough alone..............Eat your dirty laundry..............Kick em when theyre up....Kick em when theyre down.....Kick em all around.........Dirty little secrets..............Dirty little lies..............We got our dirty little fingers in everybodys pie..............We love to cut you down to size..............We love dirty laundry..............We can do the innuendo..............We can dance and sin..............When its said and done we havent told you a thing..............We all know that crap is king..............Give us dirty laundry!
Hmm..
by hirre on Mon Mar 21, 2011 06:18 AM PDTMilitary interventions always have casualties unfortunately. But you have to look at the whole picture. Is it worth that some lives are lost, but that a bright future might exist for countries in the middle east and north africa? If the lives were spared from the bombings they would sooner or later been taken by the dictators, and also in greater numbers. Another example is WWII, about 70 million lives were lost. What if nobody would have stopped Hitler? What would the price for the future generations be then?
You always have to put things in perspective. Yes, the US of course chooses countries that have high impact in the world economy (oil countries). But the US also knows that the people in those countries are smarter now than they were 30 years ago ("fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice..."). That is one of the reasons the US can't go to war so easily, not only does it have to fight with the people in those countries, but also with the international community, along strong dictator supporting regimes like china, russia and so on...
By being "passive" one might think that it is for a good cause, but in the long run it might have the opposite effect. Imho, unfortunately there is too much respecting other countries "rights". Every country must know that the world is a like a big boat and that resources are scarce, so you must share and work together. You can't just "mind your own business" and think everyone should respect you. Just take the environment issue, everybody must contribute to a better world. You can't have some people building for a better future and at the same time some people working in the opposite direction, this will create serious conflicts and imho the people who are not contributing for a better future for mankind (and planet earth) should be dealt with one way or the other (no matter if they blame it on culture, religion and so on)... Fortunately history tells us that this is mostly the case, the only difference from country to country is how much they can delay the process...

Here you are! The Libyan model (e.g., UN approved surgical strikes for safe no-fly zone) is exactly what some of us have been advocating for dislodging the IRR regime!?
Thank God I voted for John McCain! And thank God he didn't get elected since he would not follow through with this going after the Mullahs! BHO, on the other hand, said one thing and is doing a totally different thing! That's is the true nature and spirit of a "Democrat!" At least GWB did exactly what he said!
Operation Odyssey Dawn
by Soosan Khanoom on Sun Mar 20, 2011 07:37 AM PDTThe decision to launch an offensive in libya came less than a week after troops from the six-member Gulf Cooperation Council, including saudis, moved into Bahrain, launching the first cross-border intervention since the wave of popular uprisings began in January. Bahrain declared a three-month state of emergency .........
Meanwhile in Libya Military officials are still assessing the damage after more than 120 Tomahawk cruise missiles were fired from US and British ships and submarines in the Mediterranean, targeting dozens of tanks, radar warning systems, surface-to-air missile launchers and communications centres.
If you want the convergence of humanitarianism and military interests, go to Japan.

SOS .....
by Soosan Khanoom on Sat Mar 19, 2011 11:23 PM PDTMay the day that Nato or U.S invade Iran never comes..... they never cared about Iran and they never will ...... one must be a fool not to see the manipulative foreign policy of U.S which cares less about democracy ....... We shall achieve freedom and democracy by our own masses in Iran who are going to be awaken from the nightmare of IR soon ...... they can do it and only the change that people bring and support is going to stay and be permanent ........ War and invasion bring nothing but ruins and years of civil war ....... Do we want that?
But just for a moment leave Iran aside and see the situation in Bahrain and compare it with Libya ...... then you see what I mean ...... you shall see my points and the fact that US and Nato couldn't care less about democracy ......
In the other blog on Bahrain I mentioned that these days one can easily see the Hypocrisy in action .... In Bahrain there is a massacre of civilians going on at the same time Saudis are being sent there to assist in more massacre ....... On the other hand we have no fly zone which passed for libya ..... Are we not witnessing selective reinforcement of democracy?
Quite frankly, the hypocrisy is just beyond belief ...........
Islamic Regime attacks civilian Iranians. Why no report?
by SOS-FREE-IRAN on Sat Mar 19, 2011 09:19 PM PDTThe pretext for invasion of Libya is that Libya has violated all UN policies regarding human rights. What the F#$$$? What about Islamic Regime who has violated all UN Policies for the past 32 years and attacked civilians? and most recently by recruiting children into the military like the african leader who was prosecuted by International Court. Why does UN turn a blind eye toward Khamenei and Ahmadinejad's inhumane policies and actions? What is going on here? We have 150 Iranians dissident murdered on the spot in an uprising in jail and the world is quiet? We have hundreds of thousands of Iranians being bottle raped, tortured, beaten, imprisoned arbitrarily and the world says nothing? Where is CNN's coverage of Islamic regime? Khameni and Ahmadinejad order executions and attack civilians in Iran but the world sits quietly? Where as when this is done to Libyans, CNN is all over it?
Are Libyans more human than Iranians? Are Iranians subhumane compared to Libyans?

A war of aggression
by Soosan Khanoom on Sat Mar 19, 2011 08:45 PM PDTWith the launching of 24/7 AWACS flights over the sovereign state of Libya, without the consent of the Libyan government or its people, NATO has officially launched a war of aggression against Libya. International law experts say such a provocative move is perceived by international law as a declaration of war.
The only reason for launching AWACS aircraft is to support military air strikes ............
At such high altitudes it is virtually impossible for people on the ground to differentiate between Libyan bomber aircrafts and NATO bomber aircrafts.
The western media are now instructed to report that Gaddafi is bombing and killing Libyan rebels when in fact it is NATO. NATO is once again being used by the United States as its surrogate military force.
Just to take control of the largest oil reserve in Africa.
