Amnesty International reports China, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and the United States remain amongst the world’s most frequent executioners. Amnesty says China is believe to have executed thousands of people last year. Iran executed 252 people; North Korea 60; Yemen 53; and the United States 46. Setting aside China, the total number of executions officially recorded by Amnesty International in 2010 was 527 down from at least 714 people in 2009.

Roseann Rife, Amnesty International: "We absolutely believe that it is an unmistakable trend towards abolition. That is the goal, the United Nations has come out and said that that is the goal, and many many countries are adopting it. I think it’s just a matter of time and increasingly the countries who haven’t abolished the death penalty are going to stand out as obstructionist towards that goal."

No wonder UN has to assigne a special rapporteur for Iran!

There is a lot to wonder about this and many other UN actions. UN has not appointed a rep. to minitor Zionists appaulling human rights activities that include some of the worst crimes against humanity ever committed live on TV since WWII! In fact, the US and The European countries have consistantly been on the side of Zionist terrorists stopping any UN resolution in its tracks that would incriminate these half humen terrorists.

You are either ill-informed or simply have blinders on much like many others here at IC that are happy-go-luck on anything that deems anti IRI w/o much global substance. With the advent of Google Search, the former possiblity is rather impossible. That only leaves the second one for you!

Iran still has the highest executions per population. Iran also does public executions for the purpose of scaring Iranians! IRI is proud of that! No wonder UN has to assigne a special rapporteur for Iran!
