"It may puzzle and perhaps dismay young protesters in Benghazi, Cairo and Tunisia that their democratic hopes are being manipulated by an ultra-conservative Arab elite which has underhandedly backed a surge of militant Islamist radicals across North Africa. "

The real disaster
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Mon Mar 28, 2011 04:51 PM PDTis for IRR. This whole thing is a message from USA to IRR Khamenei: Attacking demonstrators may be met by outside force. It is really well played by Obama. Scare the *** out of mollahs without attacking Iran.
This is why the IRR groupies are in such panic. It also gives hope to young Iranian people to resist. They know if they rise regime will think twice before attacking them. It is also what Obama is hoping for.
There is a hue change coming across the Middle East. Where is goes is by no means known. It may go democratic or Islamist. Iranian people by rejecting the Islamic Republic would set that path.
