Guns in churches, schools and bars. Immigrants expelled to solve financial problems. Morality praised as the key national issue.

American politics are getting more bizarre and in some cases, borders on the nutty. Current politics include Republican legislatures in Texas, Arizona, Georgia and Minnesota fighting for their “rights” to reject energy efficiency light bulbs, while South Carolina will manufacture their own state’s rights incandescent bulbs.

...NRA supporters in nine states seek to legalize guns on school campuses. In Montana, Radio Shack is giving away a gun with every purchase of Dish Network, and in Missouri a car dealer is offering a free AK-47 with the purchase of a new vehicle.

People should own guns so that when the gov't comes for you

they're not the only ones with guns.  Levels the playing field.  And I actually like Michael Moore's take on the issue.  As he pointed out, guns are legal in Canada too (less so than the U.S., but pretty easy to get).  But there's not as much gun related violence in Canada.  The culture in the U.S. needs to be changed, not laws regarding gun ownership.

For us Iranians going up against IR, armed struggle is an option. It's been previosuly used and most probably it'll be utilized once again.

Gun owning in the US is an abomination. American Rifle Association is as close to a fascist shock-troops organizations as possibel. But then again US lately doesn't seem to suffer from a lack of facist shock-troops. Michael Moor had a great movie on that.

Nothing wrong with owning a Gun

Kinda mandatory in certain neighbourhoods!

But I do have guns and regularly use them at my local gun club and twice a year visit Utah or NM on hunting trip with my work colleagues, great stuff, highly recommend it.

Cable TV? waste of time, get or build yourself a good antenna with a broad band Low Noise amplifier, total cost under $50.
