Report: Iran supplied Hamas with rockets

TEL AVIV, Israel, April 15 (UPI) -- Iran provided Hamas with missiles broken down in parts so they could be smuggled via tunnels into the Gaza Strip, a leaked document indicated Friday.

The document, leaked to Haaretz by WikiLeaks, was based on a conversation in February 2009 between former Israeli army Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Harel and then-U.S. Ambassador to Israel James Cunningham, the newspaper said.

Harel told Cunningham Chinese and Iranian made rockets with a range of as much as 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) were in Hamas hands and had been specifically designed for Hamas use "as it came in four pieces that could fit through narrow tunnels and be reassembled in Gaza."

He also said, according to Israeli intelligence, Iran was constructing additional missiles based on the Fajr rocket that would have a range of more than 40 kilometers (24.8 miles), the paper said.

Harel, who has since retired from the army, also discussed the Katyusha and Grad rockets being sent to Hamas, the report says.

"Harel also stated that sophisticated anti-tank guided missiles were found in Gaza, to include the Russian-made Konkours system. Hamas also had SA-7 surface-to-air missiles and sophisticated improvised explosive devices of all varieties," the newspaper quoted the report as saying.

Harel asked the United States to urge Egypt to take steps to thwart the weapons smuggling, the report said.

The average life expectancy in the West Bank is 74.5 years, and in Gaza it is 73.4 years -- neither of which have much oil or natural gas. In the IRI (which has the 2nd largest natural gas reserves and 3rd largest oil reserves in the entire world), it is 71.1 years.

And why do Gaza and the West Bank have lower infant mortality than the IRI -- about half the infant mortality rate as the IRI!?!

How pathetic is the IRI for having a population that lives in such shameful standards of basic living?

for Iran to supply weapons to those who are repeatedly raped by Zionists such as Lebanese and the Palestinians who's lands have been stolen and are under constant military attacks and massacres indiscriminately by the Zio-Terrorists since before 1948.

The Zio-Terrorists have proven they do not need any new excuses to justify they persistent attacks against the defenseless civilians. As I said, Palestinians have been under attack since before 1948, Iran would make a new excuse for Zionist pigs to kill more civilians primarily to drive Palestinians out of their habitat to grab even the little land remained under Palestinians.

Iran must help defenseless people in the ME to empower them to self defense as the UN charter requires.

In the Balkan war, Iran (against all odds) supplied arms to the Bosnians who were being massacred by the Serbs under the nose of NATO and the UN. An admirable act by Iran and Iranians.

Helping Lebanon and Palestinians to defend themselves would serve a humanitarian purpose especially at the time when we do know for sure that the Zionists have been for years supporting Kurdish terrorists, Rigi and others against Iran and Iranian population centers not to mention killing our scientists.

Iran MUST help those defenseless nations for a future peaceful ME at a time the West/Zionists/UN/NATO have no merci on the Muslim population of the region. Empowerment is the only solution and Iran can and must play its historic role and there is absolutely no shame. It is a proud gesture for all Iranians.
