SHAH ALAM: An Iranian barber was acquitted and discharged today by the High Court of trafficking in 1.8kg of syabu at the KL International Airport (KLIA) in Sepang last year.

Judge Datuk Abdul Alim Abdullah made the decision after the accused, Alireza Shahidi Houshang, 27, managed to raise a reasonable doubt in the prosecution's case.

Alireza was charged with trafficking 1.795kg of syabu at the Inspection Counter A in the Arrival Hall of the KLIA at about 11.45pm on Feb 1, 2010.
