Iran gets another nuclear fuel batch from Russia: report

(Reuters) - Iran has received another shipment of nuclear fuel from Russia for use at its Bushehr nuclear power plant, the Arabic-language al Alam channel quoted an official as saying Wednesday.

"The shipments were transferred to Iran from Russia by plane in three phases on May 4, 8 and 10," spokesman for Iran's Atomic Energy Organization Hamid Khadem Ghaemi told al Alam state channel. He said 30 metric tons of fuel had been received.

Russia delivered the first batch of about 80 metric tons of uranium fuel rods to Iran in 2008 on December 17 as part of international efforts to persuade Tehran to halt its uranium enrichment program.

The $1 billion Bushehr plant, which was built by Russia, is the Islamic state's first and only nuclear power plant. Russia says the Bushehr project is being built under the control of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the United Nations' nuclear watchdog.

The United States and its allies say they believe Iran's uranium enrichment and other nuclear activities are aimed at building nuclear weapons. Iran says it needs nuclear fuel purely to produce energy.

waste of time

Anything this Rapist regime has touched had turned into a wasted project and endeavor.  The only good thing out of the 32 years of attrocity will be that no more Akhonds will be seen on the streets of the cities in Iran.  A revolution is sweeping the middle east and it will inadvertantly land in Iran and Saudi Arabia.  The end result is a world where no country will have a form of government governed by Islam.

I know that you will probably not have a very long lifespan due to your insatiable indulgence in the free chelo kabob that you get on your frequent trips to Iran from your home base of Nabatiya.  But for the rest of us, can you please let us know exactly when this four decade (that's about forty years) old project (that the Shah had almost completed in less than4 years –one reactor at 85% completion and the other at 50% completion when he left) will be completed?  Will we see any power generation out of this old Soviet clunker within our lifetimes?  BTW, you do know that this project is only for one of the reactors, right?  The other one was abandoned long ago by the great Islamic Republic.

PS- I can just picture you with a huge chelo kabob belly hanging over your belt, like all other Hezbollah / IR goons and operatives.  :-)
