by Hooshang Tarreh-Gol on Sun May 29, 2011 06:01 PM PDTShahrum was an amazing fellow. My only source on his letters are the ones posted on that site. Those are some very rare correspondences.
On that site, there's also an entire archives of recordings of an exchange between Shahrum and Comrade. Hamid Ashraf (RIP). There was also a trenchant critique of the entire exchange, the political gaze of both Fadayis and Mojahedin, and how in large parts, it really was nothing more than an urban petty-bourgeois reaction to industrialization. Very much on a Nativist plane.
Hope you'll like the book, cheers

BTW, Taghi Shahram was quite an amazing character, dont you think? Have you had a chance to read his prison memoires?

There's actually a lot of very interesting new studies and anthologies on the Commune.
Let me know how you like this one.
That website and its content gets E for effort, and I leave it at that, cheers

by AMIR1973 on Sat May 28, 2011 01:03 PM PDT"Pendar-e nik" is the current Zoroastrian incarnation of the former Stalinist IRI Groupie known as "Comrade". I wonder who purged "Comrade"? Was it the Iranian.com administrator or the Central Committee of the Party? Then again, it may be an example of history repeating itself, the first time as tragedy and the second time as farce. Cheers, Comrade!
Thank you very much for the link rafigh Hooshang

I have wanted to read about paris commune for sometime. I started reading this , (the link takes you to index page of the site, you then need to follow from there. The comrades on this site are not very good web designers by the look of it!) but have not got very far, just too busy, too few hours per day. I was wondering if you had read this and any opinions before I invest too much time. Would appreciate your feedback.

Pendar Nik would much rather
by vildemose on Sat May 28, 2011 12:17 PM PDTPendar Nik would much rather see public hanging and stoning and killing dogs in the sreets or thugs wielding their clubs and chains and smashing 12-year old heads. He would much raher see pedophilia and legalized prostitution (sigheh) as the law of the land...(9 year old girls being the age of marriage according to shaira). He would love to see sharp shooters in every roof tops killing innocent civilian who don't agree with his cultish ideology.

Paris Commune 1871-2011- 140th anniversary
by Hooshang Tarreh-Gol on Sat May 28, 2011 10:18 AM PDTToday in Paris there will be a memorial for all the valiant fighters of the Commune. This singular event, of workers' control and workers' democracy, even after 140 years still remains a bright star in the history of all liberation movements.
According to Kirstin Ross, Arthur Rimbaud's " Illuminations" was highly influenced by the events of the Commune and its culture.
"Illuminations" has been translated to farsi by Mr. Bijan Elahi.
Long live the Commune!
