These are not excerpts from a report issued by the president's own office, nor from a show that could have been aired on state television a while ago when Ahmadinejad was still the golden boy of the Islamic republic. (The president has become isolated in recent months as the result of a power struggle with Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.)
The flattering report, described as the "first-ever behind-the-scenes access" into the Iranian president’s daily schedule, was aired on the U.S. television network NBC. The "exclusive" report, which reveals unimportant details about Ahmadinejad's life (including the fact that he works with his shoes off but his reading glasses on) is a great piece of propaganda for Ahmadinejad, who heads to New York next week to attend the UN General Assembly.
The positive report has been also noticed in Tehran, including by Ayandehnews, which referred to it as NBC’s "propaganda piece" about Ahmadinejad.
The report portrays Ahmadinejad as a hard-working, compassionate, and religious president who leads a very simple life and cares deeply about his people. Ahmadinejad's PR team couldn’t have done it better.
(Watch the NBC report and then read this blog by one of Ahmadinejad's supporters, posted on Persian Letters earlier this year as an example of online propaganda for the Iranian president.)
It's precisely the image Ahmadinejad is trying to convey while covering up the facts that, under his presiden... >>>

NBC don't know
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Fri Sep 16, 2011 04:35 AM PDTanything more than the rest of Western "experts". This is why the American approach has been a failure. Because they have no idea what they are doing. Just read the military manual on Iranians posted on IC recently. Or the paper by Peter A. Naffsinger on "Face among Arabs" which mixes up Iranian and Arab. Then uses Chinese proverbs as if Chinese; Arab and Iranian are the same. They just have no idea what they are talking about.
Does anyone watch NBC news? If they do they are wasting time. People wake up: American MSM news is a joke. The foreign policy is in shambles since Jimmy Carter. And they don't know what they are doing.
They got a lucky break in Soviet Union. Instead of taking advantage of it they squandered it. Then wrecked Yugoslavia leading to Narco-State of Korovo. And pissing off the Serbs for generations until they re-annex Kosovo. Then made a mess of Iraq and Afghanistan. Now busy praising AN at the wrong time. Maybe I am wrong and they have a plan. Is AN to be the new alternative pushed by West? To replace the VF and bring about a kinder; gentler IRI. AN beats Rajavi

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Fri Sep 16, 2011 04:05 AM PDTPlease we have heard this prediction for 30 years. Well sooner or later IRI will go and the prediction will be true. But it is like saying "Stock Market will drop 20%" every year until it does.
Regarding separatism I see more of it outside than inside. The seeds of it are being planted from outside. I hope any Iranian government including IRI will crush them. Put an end to this ***. Put claim to all lost Iranian territory and hit back hard.
If "Republic" of Azarbayjan wants Iranian territory I have news. Their whole Republic belongs to Iran. Khamenei as much as told them so and for once got it right. Iran should simply divide it up between herself and Armenia as a lesson to others.
This is the Quiet Before the Storm
by ayatoilet1 on Fri Sep 16, 2011 03:40 AM PDTUsually the U.S. will suck up to an enemy before it undermines them.
Think of Libya - before the "revolution" or even the "Shah" before the "revolution". The US and Iran just did a deal for the 2 americans for 80 iranians; and then sent Curry down to make Ahmadinejad seem great, and Obama announces a troop reduction to just 3000 in Iraq ...so the regime in Iran is now thinking: "Oh We Won" , "We're Ahead"; then BANG ...they'll throw them in the gutter...like real enemies they are!! Ghadafi after all had a visit from Condoleeza Rice, and exchanged gifts, and gave money to a few colleges...and BANG ...he was out.
There is an old adage: Do not let your enemies know you hate them. Maintain the element of surprise.
The regime in Iran has maybe 2 years to go through the end of 2012 - before all hell breaks loose. The Mullahs will have one thousand Ann Curry's all over Iran as they track in embedded in sepratist armies into Iran...and Ahmadinejad will not be able to pose in his gym at all (cause he'll be on the run).
It'll be the end of Iran as we know it.

We could well be witnessing a small portion of Iran's recenly reported "missing" $12billion oil revenue in action. I wonder what the cut of the lobbyist, the middle man between the islamist regime and NBC was?
