(Reuters) - Iranian hardline President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, whose campaign pledge was to combat corruption, is facing a fresh political blow over the biggest financial scandal in Iran's history.

The $2.6 billion scam has taken on political dimensions as some hardline politicians have linked the main suspect in the fraud to a so-called "deviant current," allegedly led by Ahmadinejad's chief of staff and closest ally.

Esfandiar Rahim Mashaie is accused by many Shi'ite clerics and politicians of trying to undermine the central role of the clergy in politics by emphasizing the nationalist strain of Iranian history and culture.

"Now Ahmadinejad's hands are filled with the scam ... Weakened in the eye of the nation, Ahmadinejad has been rendered impotent to initiate any political action ahead of the (March 2012) parliament vote," said a former senior official, who asked not to be named.

The judiciary has said corruption at this level could not have happened "without the involvement and backing of different individuals," a reference to high-ranking government officials.

Looting by IRI? it's an old story with new packaging. it's been going on for thirty some years now. Some of us who are older have been advocating military action even before these cockroaches came to pover much less now! Two decades more of this regime and if the country does not disintegerate it will become a cesspole,a  hell hole of concreate jungles where millions of poor will f* another each day just to survive.

Banking scam

Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi he was often accused of stealing the country's wealth by his opponents. The same Tudeh -Bazari peasant-akhund scavangers in the seat of power in Iran have robbed the country blind with each and every one of them lining his own pocket with money and gold. All of these scoundrels are accountable and complicit in this daylight robbery of Iran's wealth unlike the Shah who was an easy scapegoat and subject of some malicious accusations because he was merely the figurehead of Iran. There is no more Shah to blame if the kitty is empty and the figures to add up. This time round the money has been stolen, changed hands and laundered by a whole regime of murdering thieves that you do not know where to begin looking for because they've hidden their tracks so well. All the attention and so-called 'inifghting' amounts to absolutely nothing and people will soon realise that just like the Green 'opposition' movement in Iran this is another ludicrous charade by the regime to buy time by pretending to be accountable and showing that rule of law exists. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Ask yourself how long you will tolerate Iran going down the toilet? They are killing several hundred people each year. Imprisonment and rape go hand in hand. Trees, mountains, lakes and rivers are fast disappearing by a regime whose only concern is mosques and the second coming of a mythical 'hidden imam'. This country is terroristing its people, stripping it of its assets, negelcting its natural resources as well as its historical heritage while stealing the wealth of the country.

In ten years time, if the regime is still around, the entire landcape of Iran will be a asphalt concrete jungle with trees uprooted and mountains destroyed to make for sky rise buildings, grotesque villas and tower blocks to house the spiralling population of Iran.

There will be no Iran tomorrow. Please support military action. If the salvation of Iran is important to you then fight this evil regime.
