دادگاه انقلاب تهران پیمان عارف را به اتهام توهین به ریاست جمهوری به ۷۴ ضربه شلاق محکوم نموده بود.  

پیمان عارف از فعالان سابق دانشجویی و عضو سازمان دانش آموختگان جبهه ملی ایران،

 بیست و یکم بهمن ماه سال گذشته جهت اجرای حکم حبس بازداشت شده بود.
