Iranian Women NGOs Condemn Spain's Apartheid against Muslim Girl
TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian women NGOs in a statement released on Sunday condemned Spain for allowing racial discrimination against Muslims even at schools, and voiced strong support for a Muslim teenager who was kicked out of an exam session for wearing a headscarf.
In the statement, the women NGOs condemned the move by the Spanish school, and said it unveiled the true nature of the empty slogans chanted by the Western culture about democracy and human rights.
The statement further pointed out that such discriminatory measures and actions also display that the so-called advocates of human rights in the West have harmed freedom in the name of human rights and continue campaign against Muslims due to their Islamic beliefs.
"The women NGOs of Islamic Iran condemn this anti human rights action and demand the Spanish government, and specially the Spanish people, to prevent repetition of such actions in future and return the girl to her class after extending (formal and official) apologies to her," the statement reiterated.
The 14-year-old Muslim girl was kicked out of the exam in her Madrid secondary school after she refused to take off her headscarf.
