According to the news and the very clear photos he was sodomized by a knife. This is the man who was running Libya with an Iron hand. Now reduced to this sorry form.
This is a very disgusting and upsetting news. I know the guy was a murderer but this kind of action is not right and I condemn it without hesitation; hope that others do a well. Nevertheless it should be a warning to IRI leaders. Torture and rape turns people into animals. Not very long ago Ghaddafi was on the giving side of this. In a few months he was on a receiving side of it. Mr Khamenei should take note of this as should AN.
The IRI goons should know that the families of their victims will be no less merciful. If they are wise they will go now. While the getting is good and the door is open. Because if the tables turn it will be a tough time for them. Maybe there is going to be someone who will stand against the mob and stop them. But more likely no one will. I warn you this is vile and disturbing. But here is the link:

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Thu Oct 27, 2011 04:50 AM PDTBoth have good points. Yes war is savage and people act very bad. Nevertheless humiliating people is wrong specially then. I do not think this is going to be a reflection on NATO. More on the people who did it.
But it is still a very bad start. On the other and France did not do much better. And now see where they are.
Only time will tell and a reign of terror does not damn the future.
FYI Rea, Humiliating anyone is barbaric. Yes, Even in War.
by amirparvizforsecularmonarchy on Wed Oct 26, 2011 07:52 PM PDTBeing civilized is different especially during times of war. Supporting a group that acts to humilate opponents, truly harms Nato and takes away all moral standing for them. It makes it look hypocritical of the International criminal court to not pursue these people. The bodies of surrendered soldiers, with their hands tied behind their backs and executed is not war. A warrior does not act that way. They all need to be found and court marshalled.
About the clip. Interesting how all the people in a frenzy around Gadaffi are screaming Allah-u-Akbar, this great god they speak of has some fascinating followers. If they are truly muslims. most any decent person would say count me out.
It's war for you
by Rea on Wed Oct 26, 2011 11:02 AM PDTIt brings out the worst in humain beings.
Still I wouldn't call them barbaric as O. Yaroo did. While I may find their tribal rules personally unacceptable, this was an entirely different situation. A war situation. It turns people into animals, so the same standards should not apply.
20 yrs ago people fought in the ex-Yugoslavia, horrible atrocities were commited. To the point that even today I prefer to think it was only propaganda, rather than accepting well documented pathologists' work and reports. Does it mean we are barbaric? I don't think so.
Before judging, wait n see what will come out of what had started as a revolt against the dictator but, unfortunately, turned into a fratricidal war. It is also a warning to those who think a foreign intervention is the way to go.
Dear Friends
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Wed Oct 26, 2011 06:08 AM PDTI am not going to delete this. Special thanks to all of you who posted here. Including Truth Seeker; Oon Yaroo; Divaneh; Rastin and Amirparviz.
You all bring very good points up. Ghaddafi did not listen to anyone. He was going to exterminate whole cities which opposed him. Nevertheless people must act civilized or it will boomerang. At the minimum give the guy a trial. If you act like Gandhi or Madella you get peace. If you act like thugs; you risk a major disaster. I hope next round in Iran we take the peaceful path.
Yesterday I had a very long discussion with an American friend. Just wanted to get an opinion of a non Iranian for a change. Her position was that US must not intervene unless there is a domestic uprising. Asked me if I thought people are ready to rise against IRI: my gut feeling was not yet. This is why it is the right time for Khamenei; AN and the rest to pack up and go.
Thanks again.
My best wishes to the people of Libya. There is still time to salvage their revolution.

Gaddafi’s violent end
by Truthseeker9 on Wed Oct 26, 2011 05:04 AM PDT//www.thezimbabwean.co.uk/human-rights/53976/gaddafi-deserved-his-gory-end.html?utm_source=thezim&utm_medium=homepage&utm_campaign=latestarticles
Conditions in Libya were conducive to Gaddafi’s violent end. Overwhelming disparity between the minority rich and the majority poor, long-term political oppression or military rule or the social and economic oppression of one ethnic group by another, increasing popular discontent, political arrests and attacks against civilian demonstrations can be a source of discontent and conflict. These conditions were rife in Libya.
A key element in understanding the context and situation in an escalating conflict is the ability to read warning signs of trouble and indicators of increasing tension or violence, which is the basis for “conflict early warning” analysis. Gaddafi dismally failed to take notice of these signs and indicators of trouble. he listened to the cries and aspirations of his people, there can be no doubt that Gaddafi would have saved himself from such a bloody end.
The problem with people like Gaddafi is that they never listen to anybody even if they know they are in the wrong. Thus, he vowed to fight till the last man, the last woman and of course the last bullet. Were it not for NATO intervention I am sure Gaddafi would have exterminated his opponents. But the Libyan revolutionaries also vowed to fight till the end. Gaddafi had outlived his usefulness.
Typical of barbaric people! Does anyone remember Parviz Badpa!?
by Oon Yaroo on Tue Oct 25, 2011 07:18 PM PDTThis kind of a behavior is the bread and butter of barbaric people!
Right during and after the An-Ghollab of 1979, many of our fellow barbaric Iranians (remember back then IRI had not formed yet so let's not blame everything on IRI) decided that they were going to beat, kill, rape, break into, and plunder whomever they found taghooti or didn't like or were associated with the previous system/regime!
Parviz Badpa was a boxing champion/early pasdar who decided to break into people's houses (one of a military general or so) and rape and plunder! I believe he was caught but don't know whatever happened to him!
Very Saddening
by divaneh on Tue Oct 25, 2011 06:25 PM PDTThis nation will one day mourn Gaddafi as much Iranians mourn
Shah. I hope I am wrong but this savagery and the announcement that the future
government is Islamic is just like reliving the Iranian revolution. Oil and
Islam has been a good strategy and they now push it into Libya. Let's not fool
ourselves, West and Nato are as much accomplices to this crime as those in the
video. Those who think a military invention by West would bring us democracy,
are better to think again.
Dear VPK,
Don't delete the blog. It is very difficult to browse IC these days and if other people have the same experience as me, they may sometimes give up before the page is loaded.

I'm feel very disturbed about the way Gaddafi's died, although I hate dictators and he was one of the worst, I still can't get my head around it. The video you posted is too horrifying but I suppose his people are accustomed to hearing about how he burnt people alive, how he buried people alive, how he could not finish hanging them to death and prolonged their suffering. God knows what was going through their minds, but one thing my friend told me today is that at least his quick death has saved many more lives. If he had lived on, the civil war wold have continued and would have led to more innocent deaths.
Thank you truth seeker
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Tue Oct 25, 2011 02:53 PM PDTFor having the decency to post. I really appreciate it.
"He believed the Libyan people still loved him, even after we told him that Tripoli had been occupied."
It is sad to see how people delude themselves. My mother told me how Shah was a Swiss educated young idealist in the 1940s. How the people around him flattered him into a dictator. Shah really believed people loved him; even though even people like me did not.
It takes a lot of will to resist corruption of absolute power. In a way Lord of the Rings was the story of absolute power. I remember Gandalf telling Frodo he did not want the ring. The best of people are corrupted by power. The less you will rely on power the less corrupt you become. It was the using of the ring that rotted the soul.
What do you do when you see the fate of your nation in your hands? Do you step out of the way after your term is up. Or do you hang on to power and become the dark lord?

Why does the main stream media do such a poor job reporting?
by amirparvizforsecularmonarchy on Tue Oct 25, 2011 10:25 AM PDTAnd do such a good job misinforming by leaving info out and focussing on certain parts.
