A professor from the Chinese National Defense University says if Iran is attacked, China will not hesitate to protect the Islamic Republic even by launching the Third World War.

Major General Zhang Zhaozhong said, "China will not hesitate to protect Iran even with a third World War."

The United States and Israel have repeatedly threatened Tehran with the "option" of a military strike, based on the allegation that Iran's nuclear program may consist of a covert military agenda.

Iran has refuted the allegations, saying that as a signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and a member of the IAEA, it has the right to develop and acquire nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.

This video says that China's hands are full, it is impossible for China to fight for IRI militarily! The comment "China will not hesitate to protect the Islamic Republic even by launching the Third World War." is for Chinese domestic audiences and needs! It is a pure bluff!

This video also said ordinary (Iranian) people don't worship their leaders so much any more! (ha ha)

 So is the "republlic of Shiat allah on earth's" only hope of survival in the case of war with US is the intervention by godless chinese commies on their behalf? what happened about all those claims of "home made" super weapons made by "shiat scientists"?  

At least saddam and gaddafi had the guts to stand and fight. These SOBS will be on a money laden plane to bejing before even the first missile land at natanz.......

Important Strategic Concern

First of all, I do not think thei Professor speaks for the Chinese administration. Secondly, China has severe impediments in being able to support Iran - not trivially a massive land expanse on its west which is depopulated, mountainous in parts, but also dessert like in portions (and most of its defense forces are in the east watching Taiwan); but also secondly even after they traverse their own country, there is this small issue of passing Afghanistan with something like 100,000 NATO troops there.

But having said all that, the mere fact that Iran can side with China is a major strategic blunder and exposes a major flaw in Western calculations. China could protect Iran assymetrically by actually attacking major economies on its east - sort of tit-for-tat. And that would be calamitous. Iran should not and can not ever enter into the Chinese sphere of influence. Its not good for the West but it is also NOT good for Iranians too. This is a dangerous line of thinking. And spells trouble.

So much for defeating the Soviets and grabbing all that oil out of the Caspian and containing Iran for profit. All that oil money will pale compared to the costs of a major war. 

In the end, for the sake of Iranians and the world the only viable option has to be immediate regime change in Tehran - and a new embolded, secular democratic Iran as soon as possible. If Iran is left to the Mullahs, Iranian national interest will be trumped by personal interest of a ruling elite trying to survive - and that will be too much risk for the West. The mullahs will align with the devil itself if that means more years in power. They wont care if millions of Iranians die in battle or die of starvation - they only want to survive. Sort of like North Korea...and a Kim Jung Il in Tehran would be a major strategic blow....it puts the whole world at risk (not just a tiny peninsula) ...almost 50% of the world's energy resources within a 1000 mile radius at risk!!!

This guy Major General Zhang Zhaozhong does not represent China's foreign policy. The Chinese will side with any one any time to satisfy their national interests. deleshoon vaaseh kesee nasookhteh.

If they reach a bargain by siding with the west, they wont hesitate to feed Iran to the wolves.

I can still remember how they massacred the Uyghur muslims. As the case with Chechniya, Iran's regime shut up, and focused on the usual Palestinians instead.

I have a friend who works for one of Iranian National Oil Company's suppliers, and he told me these days even the Chinese suppliers are pulling out of Iran's projects. It does not seem to show that great interest on the side of rokh chon goh chinese.

So China did not contribute to World Peace and made blood money from both Iran and Iraq during the war.......

This time things are different. IRI's survival is linked to China's economic survival and stability.......

I have a feeling that IRI is just exaggerating China's support 'cause IRI is desperate! This is IRI's lonliest moment! Let's see what happens....
