The wife of Christopher Tappin - a retired British businessman being held in the US for allegedly conspiring to sell batteries for Iranian missiles - has broken down while giving evidence to MPs.
Elaine Tappin was speaking at the Home Affairs Select Committee, which is looking into the UK's extradition procedures.
On Wednesday, Prime Minister David Cameron said that Mr Tappin's case had been thoroughly considered by Home Secretary Theresa May - but that she was also looking carefully at the full findings of last year's extradition review.
Mrs Tappin described her "heart-rending sadness, despair, and utter disbelief" at the home secretary's decision to allow the extradition to go ahead, before she broke down, unable to finish her prepared statement.
