Iran says ready to help settle Syria crisis

"Iran is ready to play an appropriate role in bringing stability and
security in Syria" to prevent the crisis "quickly spreading to the whole
region," foreign ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast told the Iran
newspaper.
