DEAR SUSAN KHANUM, THANKS
by Ruhi on Sun Sep 16, 2012 08:16 AM PDTDEAR SUSAN
KHANUM, THANKS FOR YOUR KIND, SINCERE AND THOUGHTFUL RESPONSE,
1. AT THE
TIME OF SHAH, WELL EVERYTHING IS RELATIVE, BUT STILL WE WERE SORT OF
DISCRIMINATED OR IN SOME CASES IN SMALL VILLAGES INTRIGUED BY THE HOJJATYYEH,
FADEEYANE ESLAM ,ANJOMANE ESLAMI,
MULLAHS AND OTHER FUNDAMENTALIST GROUPS PERSECUTED, IF THERE WAS A CASE OF
INJUSTICE AGAINST A BAHA’I IT WAS MOSTLY IGNORED, THERE WERE MANY ELEMENTS OF
THE GROUP HOJJTIYYEH AND OTHER FANATICAL GROUPS IN DIFFERENT GOVERNMENT
INSTANCES THAT BLOCKED THE JUSTICE, I DO NOT BLAME THE SHAH HIMSELF, HE IS PART
OF HISTORY NOW AND HE IS BEING JUDGED BY OUR GENERATION AND HE WILL ALSO BE
JUDGED BY THE FUTURE ONES
2. THERE
WAS A LOT OF CORRUPTION GOING ON AT THE TIME OF SHAH AND IF ONE OR TWO BAHÁIS
DID SOMETHING NOT APPROPRIATE, THE BLAME IS PUT ON THE BAHA’I FAITH AND NOT ON
THE INDIVIDUALS, BUT THE MAJORITY OF THE CULPRITS WERE MUSLIMS, AND YET I DO
NOT BLAME ISLAM FOR SUCH AN INAPPROPRIATE ACT
3. THERE IS
NO CLERGY IN THE BAHA’I FAITH, THAT IS ONE THING BAHAULLAH ABROGATED AND THAT
IS WHY MUSLIM CLERGY FEEL THREATENED ABOUT LOSING THEIR POWER, THAT IS ONE OF
MAIN REASONS THAT THEY STIR UP PEOPLE’S EMOTIONS AND INSTIGATE COMMON IGNORANT
PEOPLE AGAINST NOT ONLY BAHÁIS BUT ANYBODY WHO THINKS DIFFERENT FROM THEM.
4. WE DO
HAVE A VERY DEMOCRATIC AND WELL-DESIGNED SYSTEM OF ADMINISTRATION FOR DEALING
WITH OUR ISSUES AND PROBLEMS IN 3 DIFFERENT LEVEL; LOCAL, NATIONAL AND
INTERNATIONAL LEVEL, I ADVISE YOU READ FOR YOURSELF. ONE OF THE TEACHINGS OF
BAHAULLAH IS INDEPENDENT SEARCH AFTER TRUTH, WE DO NOT HAVE (AMRE BE MAAROOF VA
NAHYE AS MONKAR), NOBODY HAS THE RIGHT TO JUDGE ANOTHER MEMBER, OF COURSE THAT
IS THE JOB OF THE SPIRITUAL INSTANCES, PLEASE IF YOU GET A CHANCE READ ON THE
BAHA’I ADMINISTRATION . I POSTED A LINK IN MY PREVIOUS POST, IT CAN CONNECT YOU
WITH OTHER BAHA’I LINKS, AND LET ME JUST WARN YOU THAT THERE HAVE BEEN MANY
ATTACKS TO DESTROY THE IMAGE OF THE BAHA’I’ FAITH BY MANY GROUPS, MUSLIMS AND NON-MUSLIMS SO
TRY TO LOOK UP INFORMATION FROM THE BAHA’I POINT OF VIEW.
5.IN
REGARDS TO YOUR QUESTION ABOUT THE IMAM ZAMAN, I WOULD LIKE TO MENTION THAT THE
BAHA’I FAITH IS AN INTERNATIONAL FAITH ,IT IS THE SECOND MOST PROPAGATED FAITH
AFTER CHRISTIANITY, BUT NOT NUMERICALLY SPEAKING IN THE WORLD. WHEN YOU FIND
SOME BAHAIS IN A REMOTE VILLAGE OF ECUADOR, OR A SMALL ISLAND OF SAMOA, OR EVEN
IN CHINA, IT IS NOT BECAUSE THEY FIND THE FULFILLMENT OF COMING OF IMAM ZAMAN
AT HAND, BUT THEY FALL IN LOVE WITH TEACHINGS OF BAHAULLAH, AND THE UNITY AND
LOVE THAT HAS CREATED AMONG THE MEMBERS OF HUMAN KIND .LOOKING AT IT FROM A
DIFFERENT ANGLE, THE BAHA’I FAITH IS THE FULFILLMENT OF ALL THE PROPHECIES OF
ALL THE RELIGIONS IN THE PAST, CHRISTIANS ARE WAITING FOR THE SECOND COMING OF
JESUS, THE JEWS ARE WAITING FOR THE COMING
OF THE LORD OF THE HOSTS, THE BUDDHIST ARE WAITING FOR THE COMING OF THE 5TH BUDDHA, THE ZOROASTRIANS ARE EXPECTING THE COMING OF SHAH BAHRAM AND SO
ON AND ON . SO THE TERM IMAM ZAMAN TURNS
INTO A UNIVERSAL HOPE FOR EVERY BELIEVER IN UNIVERSAL LEVEL.
I BELIEVE
YOU ARE VERY POSSIBLY A SHIITE MUSLIM, SO YOU FIRST HAVE TO SEE WHAT YOU
EXPECTATIONS FROM YOUR OWN PERSPECTIVE ARE AND IF THAT IS THE CASE I RECOMMEND YOU TO READ THE BOOK TARIKHE NABIL ZARANDI OR THE DAWN
BREAKERS ,IT VASTLY AND CLEARLY TALKS ABOUT THE NATURE OF COMING OF IMAM ZAMAN.
I AM NOT AS KNOWLEDGEABLE AS OTHER HONORABLE BAHA’I MEMBERS ON THIS SITE, SO I SIMPLY SEND YOU A
FEW REFERENCES AND I AM SURE AS A SEEKER YOU HAVE AN ENORMOUS OCEAN OF
INFORMATION, BY THE WAY THERE IS FREE PROGRAM ONLINE CALLED OCEAN THAT YOU CAN DOWN LOAD AND CHECK THROUGH THE HOLY WRITINGS OF NOT ONLY
THE BAHA’I FAITH BUT ALL THE MAJOR RELIGIONS OF THE WORLD IN 7 DIFFERENT
LANGUAGES.
AND AT THE
END I WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU AND APPRECIATE YOUR TAKING TIME AND PAINS IN
WRITING BACK.
P.S. AS A
TEACHER I HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT MY TIME IS VERY LIMITED , SO I AM NOT CHECKING
THIS SITE VERY OFTEN ,THOUGH I HAVE TO ADMIT THAT IT IS HIGHLY ADDICTIVE!
SO ANY BAHA’I
FRIEND'S HELP ON THIS ISSUE IS WELCOME!

Dear Ruhi,
by Soosan Khanoom on Sat Sep 15, 2012 11:18 PM PDTWere Bahais being discriminated under Shah's regime? Werent they free to hold higher positions in various governmental job ( even more freely ) ? Were they being hanged or tortured due to their religion belief ?
I believe the ordinary ones at the time of Shah had ordinary life just like the rest of us and those who reached power abused it just like any other power hungry persons regardless of their religion.
I under any condition wouldnt be willing to even slightly approve any discrimination towards anyone. But at the same time I sometimes feel Bahai people are playing the Mazlum card too often. Just like race card in this country. Sometimes we have to admit that although there certainly were times of pain and sufferings in the past but there were also times of absolute power and ruling.
By past I mean before revolution otherwise what that has been happenong to them since revolution is so shameful and unfortunate.
Also since you have brought up and have well said it about inquiry into the religion itself , could you please clearly state the Bahis view on appearance of Imam Zaman? Not necessarily yours but the Bahahis clergies in general ... You do have religion leaders .. Don't you ? Ok I admit I do not know much .. Help me out !!
: )
Dear Soosan Khanum!
by Ruhi on Sat Sep 15, 2012 10:34 PM PDTWith all due respect if you read the history of Bahai Faith from a different perspective
//www.bahai-library.com/books/dawnbreakers/ you can see that clearly that since the beginning of The Baha'i Faith, the persecution has been systematic. there is a book called the Martyrs of Yazd a very thick book maybe 800 pages ,it talks about the great suffering of early Baha'is who gave their life for their belief,in the city of Yazd
In the Baha'i Faith there is not such a thing called Taghiyyeh that you disimulate your belief under perilous circumstances. that is why Bahai's tody go to jail and the moment you say you are not a Bahai' then that's it, of course there have been cases that under terrible torture some Baha'is have been forced to recant their faith, that it is not up to me to judge them.In regards to the accusation of Hoveyda being Baha'i Khomeini himself confirmed that Hoveyda was a muslim.even though his fore fatheres were Bahais or not,
//www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4YHuAluor4
in the Bahai Faith the religion is not inherited by children, you have to investigate for yourself, we don't push our faith not even on our children, it is up to them to investigate and make up their mind.
In regards to what you believe I am totally respetful to people's choice as far as they practice it and even if they do not but leave other people and their creed alone and only talk about their own belief
in case you are interested to investigate the Baha'i Faith here is the link. I suppose if you want to learn about Islam you don't go to a Christian or Jewish rabbi to get information because that kind of information would be biased

By the way dear Rozbeh
by Soosan Khanoom on Sat Sep 15, 2012 09:37 PM PDTHojateyeh as a group if still functiOning in Iran they are undercover. IRI has imprisoned many of their group leaders. They all hate IRI. We have many groups fighting each other here as well as fighting IRI. Ok now that is crazy. I think Britishs did a great job in supporting all these non senses and divisions ... But still I blame us ... As Maast ke bar masst...
Hojateyeh people still are waiting for Imam Zaman. IRI says Imam Zaman is a regular visitor to beyte rahbari and /or to the Ahmadinejad's head.... Bahis already had him appeared ... Now these people keep fighting ... Of course they fight over lahaf e mulla ... Still everyone should be Free to practice what they believe ..
As for ordinary Muslims such as me being a monkey would actually let me practice my faith in the zoo ... I do like it there ... It is rewarding.... And fun too...lol
I did mention egardless of religion. Haven't I?
by Soosan Khanoom on Sat Sep 15, 2012 09:19 PM PDTMuslims did not say they have been discriminated all the time .. I brought this up due to the number 150? At least they saw no discrimination at the time of Shah? I had Baha'i friends and classmates no discrimination at the time compare to the hell that IRI put them true. So I think truth needs to be told and playing mazlooms all the time is not fair. That is why I said what I said. it has nothing to do with the religion but the word discrimination for 150 years can't also be true for them .. Example Shah's time! I guess I am not clear otherwise I do not see what the objection is here ?
Hitler was Christian.. So Christians should not be saying that they were discriminated at the time. Does that make all Christians hitler? Ofcourse not... Hope you see my points.
I thought being Jew is holly didn't know that being Baha'i is even more hollier.. As for us Muslim .. We are just monkeys ... lol
sozan khanom: stop this anti bahai nonsense!
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Sat Sep 15, 2012 09:06 PM PDTExactly, which Bahai's were "high ranking memberds of SAVAK"? Almost all SAVAK members were muslims, just like yourself! So how about some muslim bashing, hey??!!
Indeed, SAVAK and Hojjatieh society (the anti_bahai society) were collaborating hand in hand to fight secular forces.

by MaryamJoon on Sat Sep 15, 2012 08:59 PM PDT"by Zendanian on Sat Sep 15, 2012 07:54 PM PDT Mohamad was the biggest Monkey of them all"
Questions are questions. If it affects Iran, Iranians have the right to ask questions. If the Bahai leaders don't care to answer questions, they don't care that governments around the world view their movement with suspicion, nor can they seriously be thought to care about the lives of individuals they impact by keeping their practices, funding, doctrines, and so on secret. As I said before:
You can write that anyone's prophet or a government official is a "monkey," but if the Bahai leaders can't answer secularly motivated national security questions, they lose credibility regarding everything and anything they have said:
You want Iran to surrender its independent judgment to foreign Bahai men sitting in Israel who don't answer questions?
Why do 9 grown men that are millionaires, the Bahai leaders, need to be protected from questions by 1 person on Iranian.com?
Why?
Who died and made these 9 dudes king?
And if Ahmadi-nejad, or Khameini, or someone else in the future is the "monkey" (as they put it), still that happens to be the "monkey" in power ... just make sure he doesn't view Bahais as the banana.
These are the questions: Dialogue with Haifan-Baha'i Leaders -- People Have Questions. Why not dispel peoples' suspicions because people understand that there is a difference between leaders and followers, and that these 2 groups may (or may not) have different agendas. Neither docu-dramas nor scripted and uncritical BBC interviews will get you there. If these 9 Bahai "leaders" hide out in Versace suits in Israel and put up sad stories about people in iran, ad infantium, people have the right to ask them why they don't lead and answer questions to dispel suspicions that people have about the group that impact the lives of individuals.
If they don't do that, they don't care about the lives of individuals. Period. Ask any father or mother that leads any group near and dear to the heart, if their child was in trouble and they even had a .000001% chance to convince someone that it was a mistake by answering questions, they would do it. These 9 leaders don't care.
150 years ? Or 34 years?
by Soosan Khanoom on Sat Sep 15, 2012 08:50 PM PDTI think they were truly discriminated after revolution before that they were in power and power had brought them pretty good corruptions at the time of Shah... Is it not that power does that to anyone regardless the religion? Weren't many in Darbar e Shah and also among his high ranking Savakis? Correct me if I am wrong but I have heard Hoveyda was Bahai too .. So what does really 150 years mean? At least during Shah's time they were having a blast!!
Thank You Zendanian.
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Sat Sep 15, 2012 08:40 PM PDTI am looking forward to watching this film. Will rcommend it to all my friends and colleagues too.
BTW: what is this site turning intoo? Hojjatieh society.com?
