Veiled Prophet of Khorasan

It is good

I always supported Rostam from day one and realized this is political. There was never any proof he had done anything beyond an arm grab. The ***holes in SF took apart his family and job. They tried all the tricks possible and left him with nothing. Their goal was to break him and stomp on his remains. A lesser man would have collapsed and broken down. But he fought and managed to regain it all. Got his family back and now his job.

I was not at all convinced he will win this but he did. Maybe the rest of us should learn a lesson. Running may be the easier or "reasonable" way but it cost is more at the end as it was with us Iranian who ran in 1979.

Good News

You can't keep a good man down.

"At least 200 people waiting to testify during public comment formed a line stretching from the board chambers down the hall, across the grand building to the mayor’s office and around the corner. Mirkarimi and his wife, Eliana Lopez, walked up and down the line, shaking supporters’ hands and giving them hugs. “We love Ross! We love Ross!” his supporters chanted."

A Happy Ending

I am glad that the ordeal is finally over and he can get on with his life.

But he sure did it the hard way, and in my opinion the wrong way. What really helped him was having his wife and his kid at his side for the last few months.

At the end, he needed 3 out of 11 Supervisors to vote for him. He got 4.

He is going back to work today.

For the health and well being of Mirkarimi salavaaat!

ala-ma sal-e alaa muhammad va aal muhammad!  hammad!

I'm glad it's over and he got his job back.  I had argued that he'll not be re-instated but now that he has, good for him!  I never liked that SOB Mayor of SF who is now going to be booted because he wasted so much of tax payers money and acted like an ass.

Mirkarimi is of course not without the blame.  I hope he uses this occasion to apologize and move forward.  He fought hard and won despite all odds.  I wish him the best, good luck!
