You need to 'guilt' America
by Terentia (not verified) on Wed Oct 10, 2007 07:19 AM PDTDo not ever stop repeating:
US overthrew Mossadeqh!
Remind Americans at every opportunity that Iranians want their own representative government, do not want the shah, do not want the mullahs, and they would have had their own representative government --and about a million more people in the population and a lot less heartache--if the US had not destroyed it in 1953!
Do not let the US off the hook for this crime.
What US did to Iran is equivalent to England overthrowing Washington in the 1700s.
Give them moral support but leave them alone otherwise!
by farrad02 on Wed Oct 10, 2007 05:51 AM PDTI agree with Alborzi. Give them moral support and spread their word if you can, but they need to be left alone otherwise! Active support from outside will hurt them at this early stage. At later stages, when things are more advanced it's a different story.
They need to be left alone
by Alborzi (not verified) on Wed Oct 10, 2007 05:28 AM PDTIranian students (and people) got rid of his majesty the idiot
of fools and they can do it again, they are intelligent and will
not settle for anything less. I remember the Iranian students in
Washington, were more active on Palestinian issues than the Arabs. The worst thing for them is foreign meddling. They will
do it hook or crook.
let's go for a democratic republic
by Unite (not verified) on Tue Oct 09, 2007 10:27 PM PDTYup, let's go for a democratic republic. Freedom is the answer. Freedom will take care of all wicked ones by exposing them. Let states to compete. Let western and other countries make a coalition to take over oil and just gives us military protection, royalties, and spending 50% of their profits on infrastructures, schools, and health care in Iran. But, let's kick this backward Islamic ideology out of Iran forever. Let’s build Ferdowsi statue in every corner of Iran.
Let's give matters priorities
by Dude (not verified) on Tue Oct 09, 2007 09:45 PM PDTSo long Iran has oil, it will have to deal with foreign and western meddling in its affairs. In this very globalized world, it cannot be otherwise. What matters now, is supporting whoever wants to get rid of the criminal mullahs, it's quite clear that there're geo-political and economic reasons behind their issue with Iran, however, right now this isn't my problem, my problem is having a bunch of Anti-Iranian thugs rulling my country with iron fist. It was always about economy and this time isn't any different, all we can hope for is, a secular, democratic regime, even if its members are Cheney's best friends
It's the economy stupid!
by ShahRokh Niavarani (not verified) on Tue Oct 09, 2007 09:16 PM PDTBack in 1992 during the US Presidential debates Clinton told Bush the father, "It's the economy stupid". The same goes for Iran.
Students always protest. What they should be doing is getting an education. After that get their degree. After that if life is too tough... leave the country. That is the best thing to do. That is what I would do if I was in their situation. Why get pepper sprayed by police? Why get clubbed for nothing? There is nothing to win in Iran. The currency called the Iranian Rial (or Toman) sucks big time and is worthless. The only thing that cost anything in Iran is the Oil. And Iran exports Oil and imports gasoline! What a rip off. The Iranian government should invest in Oil refineries in order to make more gasoline.
If they could also get permsssion to get Nuclear Energy that would be a plus for their suck balls economy.
As for social freedoms? When was Iran free. Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch both slammed the Shah for human rights violations during the Monarchial rule. All western historians call Reza Shah/Khan/Pahlavi a dictator. The Khomeini/Khamenei regime has also shown to not have a good human rights record. Do you people really think if some other Iranian assholes come to power things are going to change? Nope, same shit different name.
Iran Turns Against the Regime
by Ali Husayn (not verified) on Tue Oct 09, 2007 07:51 PM PDTIt is amazing how the mullahs are killing their own regime. The more the Islamic Republic supresses students, inhibits free speech, shows their corruption, abuses the rights of all their citizens (non-Muslim and Muslim), and betrays the spirit of their religion -- the more people will turn away from religion and hate the regime's Islam. As the Islamic Republic's foundation cracks and breaks, the stronger the regime will tighten the noose around the neck of each Iranian. (This is what is taking place now as the Hojatieh are showing their influence).
However, ultimately, the Islamic Republic will perish under its own evil acts. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) will show no mercy on the evil acts of this regime. I only hope in the end, Iranians will come together and build a united, peaceful, and honorable nation.
"Yes" is either a fool or an Uncle Sam propagandist
by Anonymous1974 (not verified) on Tue Oct 09, 2007 07:29 PM PDTAnyone who says that Iran needs the help of the same miserable American and European governments who helped Saddam kill Iranians is a lowlife traitor. After 12 years of sanctions against Iraq killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqis and still did not bring about regime change, anyone who advocates "extreme" sanctions against Iran is a piece of garbage
My eye doesn't drink water!
by NaOmeed (not verified) on Tue Oct 09, 2007 06:54 PM PDTAhmadi-Nejad is the regime's scapegoat, a pressure valve to keep things from exploding beyond control. Notice there were no anti-Khamenei slogans.

We DONT need foreign help
by alirezas (not verified) on Tue Oct 09, 2007 06:04 PM PDTlast time i checked, it was the foreign help that screwed us all up.
I say we need leadership. An honest, truthful Iranian who loves and adores Iran and our heritage!
Also, we need to earn our democracy or else we will be like Iraq because we too have different tribes and races in Iran!

We are responssible
by AlexIrani (not verified) on Tue Oct 09, 2007 04:33 PM PDTEvery Iranian, who care about humanity and freedom should do something toward this unleashed regime. Why we are quite? How many Iranian protested Ahmadinejad in NY couple weeks ago?, dont tell me you do not wanted involve with " politics"...... We all know protesting this regime is just a humanistic task. End indefrenceness.
We need foreign help
by yes (not verified) on Tue Oct 09, 2007 04:19 PM PDTWe all know, that these students are brave, however they are too few and way too disorganized to do bring about change, besides they know their own limits as the force they are facing is too evil and criminal. Therefore, this won't really cahnge anything. International 'extreme' economic sanctions, is the only way to get rid of this islamic mafia. Destroying their nasty infrastracture both inside and outside Iran also helps.
We definitely have a bright
by Anon (not verified) on Tue Oct 09, 2007 03:12 PM PDTWe definitely have a bright future with this crowd. They definitely know what democracy is all about. Just imagine if Bush was visiting an American university and there were crowds of people shouting outside (or inside) the meeting hall, how many people would have been arrested. It's sad, so sad that our youngsters do not know the 1st thing about having a civilized gathering.
bravo
by H from LA (not verified) on Tue Oct 09, 2007 02:52 PM PDTwow............these students are our future? We have a very bright future with these kids as leaders. Long live the 100 year strugle for freedom in Iran.
