Career Suicide...

You can harp on about freedom of expression and the like.  And that's fine. She has the right to do as she wishes with her body.  However for better or worse, Iranian people are largely conservative, and by this act she has essentially committed career suicide in the Iranian community.  She will definitely never be able to go back to Iran while this regime is in power, and since most Iranian films are produced in Iran, there goes her Iranian film career.  By western standards of method acting, she's mediocre at best.  She follows the typical over the top acting emblematic of modern Iranian cinema.  Her only novelty was that she was an Iranian actor, crossing boundaries.  I suppose this also falls within that domain.  I don't think she'll have much of film career in the west.  Perhaps more of the same odd demonstrations, and faux-singing.  This is the countdown of her self-destruct sequence. It's like watching a train-wreck in slow motion.

I am not a member of FB, T, etc., I did not know it was in solidarity with others, namely Egyptian or French actors/actresses.  More information has been added to this thread that is why I asked questions.

Hiding and lecturing others on “Freedom of Expression” does not count. 

IMHO, this issue is NOT about religion because many Muslims have done worse things (what non-Muslims would not do).  In general, religion has been used as a hullabaloo to hide behind it to do all the wrong things which nudity (art or non-art) comes across as a minor issue.
