Earlier this month I got an email from Shahbanou Farah Pahlavi's webmaster & secretary inviting me to assist to an annual Paris ceremony in remembrance of her late daughter Princess Leila (March 27, 1970 - June 10, 2001) which was followed by a more relaxed reunion in a Hotel lounge and drawing room for all who were kind enough to attend the gathering at the Passy Cemetery nearby the Trocadero. The invitation was really an unexpected one for me even if I knew that she did read them since I saw some of them (in relation to our Royal History) linked to her official website. >>> FULL TEXT

ساواک چند هزار مادر ایرانی را داغدیده کرد؟
آیا فرح از قتل جوانهای بیگناه مردم به دست ساواک اطلاع داشت؟

by Abol Danesh (not verified) on Sat Jun 21, 2008 10:32 AM PDTIt is time for Ms. Shirin Ebadi (both in the good old usa) to rush before the majesty to make sure she still can hold on to his prize before packing up for new destination for yet another conference on the issue of: The Mullah Historiagraphy: The Origin, their propogation & spread, and their disappearance from the Iranian Social, plotical and cultural landescape.
Hopefully the participants will be able to put all their papers read in the conference into a single book for publication...
Now it is time to meditate until one loses consciousness on the "Berenj-e Doam Seeyah"

Farah Diba
by Party Girl on Sat Jun 21, 2008 10:31 AM PDTMr. Kadivar:
Without passing personal judgement on Farah Diba, I would like to share a memory and an observation with you. In year 2000 I went to visit Niavaran Palace in Tehran. I won't go into what a sad space it was. We went on a separate guided tour of Sahebgharanieh castle. Our tour guide was a government employee clad in a chador. She showed us the palace and told us how Farah Diba had ordered its rennovation and had overseen its decoration, reviving it from practical ruins. Among other things, he showed us decorative elements Farah Diba had rescued from the demolition of a Zand era monument in Shiraz which she had brought back to use in Sahebgharanieh.
The eerie thing during the tour was how the tour guide was full of implicit admiration and compliments for Farah Pahlavi's efforts visible throughout the premises. I have found that though many Iranians continue their criticism and hate for the Shah of Iran, many regard his wife in much more favorable light.
You know, history judges people in power after they are dead and gone, telling us the true story of how well or badly they behaved when they were in their positions of power. My observation is that to many Iranians, Farah Diba has been judged and found as a decent human being in her own lifetime. I find that remarkable.
LOL at Qajars
by Anonymous812 (not verified) on Sat Jun 21, 2008 10:21 AM PDTI never liked her for many reasons. She(Farah) was one of the reasons why Pahlavi dynasty was overthrown by Mullahs. By giving wrong advices to Shah and hiring ministers and Darbaryha who had their roots in Qajar dynasty she made it possible for those Qajar children to make their comeback and create the new islamic-mongolic Qajar dynasty with the leadership of sultan sayed Ali Khamenei.LOL.
Monarchists are so stuck in the past
by Anonymous123567 (not verified) on Sat Jun 21, 2008 10:18 AM PDTOh for god's sake -- the Monarchy is dead. It died in 1906 and was kept around by artificial means. There is no "Shahbanou". You monarchists reallllllllllllllly need to get a life.

by DK Fan Club Head (not verified) on Sat Jun 21, 2008 10:05 AM PDTI like and respect Farah Diba Pahlavi. All things relative, compared to the horrors happening in Iran over the past 30 years and the criminals we have seen pass through Iran and its beit-olmal, Farah Pahlavi now appears as a true lover of Iran and a decent individual.
P.S. Darius Kadivar, a cutie pie! Your login photo doesn't do you justice my dear. I knew you were smart and funny, but didn't know you were so handsome, too! Are you available? Details please!
