The current deadlock lies in the polemics between two divergent doctrines. Iranians do not succumb to the US-led pressures because they surmise that retreat under coercion would represent the beginning of the end for the Islamic Republic. Meanwhile, the Americans base their policies on the assumption that Iran’s government will surrender upon such time as sanctions finally threaten their survival. But what if the US assumption does not conform to reality which is most likely the case? Then what?>>>

So picture this: you are a guy, walking down the street, minding your own business. All of a sudden, you notice a commotion. You walk over to check it out. Why not! After all, you are unemployed... and don’t need to get your opium fix for another hour. So, you fight your way through the crowd and find a nice spot in the front. You see a mullah arguing with a group of young girls. You notice the girls wearing tight jeans, tight dresses, tons of makeup and headscarves that are practically hanging over their shoulders>>>

نوآوری های نیما در زمینه ی موسیقی کلام، صور خیال و مضامین شعر، امروزه کم و بیش از سوی جامعه ی روشنفکری ایران به رسمیت شناخته شده است، ولی مشکل زبان شعر او همچنان پابرجاست. گروهی این دشواری را به حساب عدم تسلط او به زبان فارسی می گذارند>>>

در دنیای اینترنت و ارتباطات سریع، همه روزه ممکن است در گوشه و کنار جهان و به خصوص در دنیای غرب که آزادی بیان تضمین شده است فرد یا افرادی محصولی بیرون دهند که به زعم افراطیان مسلمان نوعی توهین به عقیده یا مقدسات آنان تلقی شود. آیا قرار است که مسلمانان پیوسته در حال اعتراض باشند و هر روز به این یا آن سفارت‌خانه یا مؤسسات غربی حمله کنند و خرابی بار آورند و آدم بکشند؟>>>

همان‌طور که در بیانیه جمعی در اعتراض به توافق‌نامه کومله و حزب دمکرات به تفصیل آمده است، تاکید کردم که ۱- بخش‌ناپذیر بودن حاکمیت ملی، ۲- یگانگی ملی، ۳- یکپارچگی سرزمینی و ۴- استقلال ملی از اصول غیر قابل معامله برای ما می‌باشند. تخطی از آنان به شدت با برخورد روبرو خواهد شد>>>

اینکه ایرانی ها آمادگی دمکراسی ندارند هم به یکی ازمغلطه های رایج بین ما تبدیل شده است. گویی لازمه ی دمکراسی شدن یک کشور ابتدا دمکرات شدن مردم آنست. در حالی که حتا در مهمترین دمکراسی ها نیز اکثریت مردم، نه تنها در آغاز گذار به دمکراسی دمکرات نبوده اند بلکه امروز هم آگاهی دقیقی ازدمکراسی و شروط آن ندارند>>>

دوستی از بحثی که در فیس بوک در گیرش شده بود با من حرف میزد، میگفت که یک خانمی این سوال رو کرده که چرا که من به عنوان یک زن نمیتونم تو جامعه ایرانی ها در عشق ورزی و خواستن سکس و نزدیکی پیش قدم بشوم بدون اینکه هزار بد و بی راه به من گفته نشه که من مجبور شوم از شهر فرار کنم!>>>
