پیشینیان ما/ از یادرفتگان خدا بودند
ما ، جان و تن به خدمت شیطان گماشتیم
ما در بهشت آدم و حوا/ماه برهنه را که شکافی به سینه داشت
پیش از نزول باران ، در چشمه ی بلوغ شلاق می زدیم
پروانگان شوخ جوان را/دردفتری سپید ترازبسترزفاف/سنجاق می زدیم
ما عطر عشق را/در لابلای حافظه و جامه داشتیم
ما، از غزل به مرثیه پیوستیم
اما ، صفیر تیر / از ناله های شعر ، رساتر بود
ما در میان معرکه دانستیم/ کز واژه ، کار ویژه نمی اید
وین حربه را توان تهاجم نیست
تیر گلو شکاف که برهان قاطع است هرگز نیازمند تکلم نیست
ما ، کودکان زیرک این قرن ، ای رفیق : از نسل ابلهان کهن بودیم ...
ما ، بردگان فقرواسیران آفتاب/از فخر شعر ، سر به فلک سود یم
ما ، بازماندگان مشاهیر باستان
از نسل ابلهان/از نسل شاعران/ یا نسل عاشقان کهن بودیم
و کنون چراغ عشق درین خانه مرده است
ما ، نان به نرخ خون جگر خوردیم/زیرا که نرخ روز ندانستیم
شعر از شعور رو به شعار آورد/ ما فهم این سخن نتوانستیم
ما خفتگان بی خبر دوشین
امروز را ندیده رها کردیم/درانتظاردیدن فرداییم...

PS: On your footnote about how that General will arrive, we should say, "You must be kidding, is he really coming out of the famous Chaah-e Jamkaran?". Is he not coming from the UK or the USA?!!! So we are really in trouble 

Iran's next regime will be a dictatorship

Political analyst Mehdi Ghasemi in an interview said if after the 1979 revolution instead of Islamists another group such as Communists or Nationalists had come to power, we still would end up with the same level of dictatorship that we experience today.

There is a bitter truth in that statement that is hard to ignore. The root of the dictatorship is not just in this regime or Islam, it is embedded in our culture. Iranian people are conditioned to create dictators and to accept the rule of a dictator.

Patriarchy in Iranian families is a major contributor but education system, religion, societal norms and government are all contributing to make our society a dictatorial society. Look at the dictatorial tendencies exhibited by some people in this very site to have an appreciation of how deep it is engineered in our behaviour.

If the regime toppled tomorrow, those Savakis who grow beard after the revolution and became the Savama torturers will shave their beards to serve the same purpose under a different name. The sad truth is that if they chased any person who had an Amameh or dared talking about Islam and lynched him in the street, there will be a large crowd, including some of the contributors here, who would cheer for them. Their blind rage, ignorance, and lack of fairness to others will water the seed of a new unfair system.

Dr Kourosh Erfani has conducted a very interesting research into the roots of dictatorship in the Iranian society which can open our eyes to see more clearly where we fail and why every revolution by Iranian people leads into another dictatorship. I could not find a written copy of his research online but he explains the phenomenon in details in a series of interviews with Hussein Mohri in the Portraits and Comments programme in the Radio Sedaye Iran. AI jaan, the only government that is going to work in future Iran is the kind who can do two things at the same time. Love its citizens and kick @$$ at the same time!

This is based on experience.

It worked during the Shah's time until he got soft and petted its citizens instead of kicking their....

Had he kicked some serious @$$ you and I would be owning a couple of hojreh in Kocheh Berlan and driving on jadeh chalous right at this very moment! :-)))
