This Was Long Overdue
by Kaveh Nouraee on Mon Mar 16, 2009 11:20 AM PDTEven though Jon Stewart's program is satirical and comedy-based, he was absolutely right to tear Cramer a new one. It has been a long time coming. I determined Jim Cramer is a piece of garbage from the first time I saw and heard him.
He and that other empty talking head Suze Orman have done absolutely nothing positive or constructive for people. And as much as I appreciate Jon Stewart for letting him have it, I would really love to see Jim Cramer receiving his comeuppance in a more mainstream, dare I say, "straight" forum too, if for no other reason than for the benefit of those who may not like Jon Stewart or Comedy Central, or for those who might think this was a comedy bit.

by desi on Fri Mar 13, 2009 06:40 PM PDTThanks Irandokht jaan,
Wow that was a huge goh khordam moment from Cramer. Jon ripped in to him! I felt genuinely bad for the guy, but Stewart was on point every step of the way. Loved the unedited version too.

Damn it. Sorry I mean darn
by desi on Fri Mar 13, 2009 03:57 PM PDTDamn it. Sorry I mean darn it. (I don't want to get slammed for profanity). This has been pulled off and I missed it. However one of my many favorite columnist had this to say today in the LA times, related to this story.

I did too
by capt_ayhab on Fri Mar 13, 2009 02:45 PM PDTI have been following the story in various blogs. In most of them Cramer has been rather sarcastic and calling Jon a comedian[which he is].
But after last nite I gained bit of respect for Cramer, he really took the beating like a man. Although I do not think he should be allowed to host the show anymore, but at least he admitted his fault.
Wonder what is going to happen to MSNBC after this disaster?

he did... he really did
by anonymous fish on Fri Mar 13, 2009 02:04 PM PDTi wasn't sure at first if it was part of his act but he clearly was not joking, especially at the end when he mentioned his mother. i don't blame cramer at all for being lighthearted. he absolutely took the hits like a man and it would have been somewhat hypocritical of him to come on with a sad-sob story. it was touching and it was effective. well, one can always hope anyway.
good job.
Jon Stewart did a wonderful job
by IRANdokht on Fri Mar 13, 2009 10:24 AM PDTHe was visibly shaken in a couple of instances as he was trying to convey to Cramer how destructive his program has been to people's life savings and for the economy, while Cramer tried to become the comedian and lighten up the mood.
I think Stewart made his case just fine and hopefully put a muzzle on all those network loudmouths who put him down.
Thanks for the post
