Top 5 LIES About Israel’s Assault on Gaza
by capt_ayhab
26-Jan-2009

Lie #1) Israel is only targeting legitimate military sites and is
seeking to protect innocent lives. Israel never targets civilians.

The Gaza Strip is one of the most densely populated pieces of property in the world. The presence of militants within a civilian population does not, under international law, deprive that population of their protected status, and hence any assault upon that population under the guise of targeting militants is, in fact, a war crime.

Lie #2) Hamas violated the cease-fire. The Israeli bombardment is a
response to Palestinian rocket fire and is designed to end such rocket attacks.

Israel never observed the cease-fire to begin with. From the
beginning, it announced a “special security zone” within the Gaza Strip and announced that Palestinians who enter this zone will be fired upon. In other words, Israel announced its intention that Israeli soldiers would shoot at farmers and other individuals attempting to reach their own land in direct violation of not only the cease-fire but international law.

Lie #3) Hamas is using human shields, a war crime.

There has been no evidence that Hamas has used human shields. The fact is, as previously noted, Gaza is a small piece of property that is densely populated. Israel engages in indiscriminate warfare such as the assassination of Nizar Rayan, in which members of his family were also murdered. It is victims like his dead children that Israel defines as “human shields” in its propaganda. There is no legitimacy for this interpretation under international law. In circumstances such as these, Hamas is not using human shields, Israel is committing war crimes in violation of the Geneva Conventions and other applicable international law.

Lie #4) Arab nations have not condemned Israel’s actions because they understand Israel’s justification for its assault.

The populations of those Arab countries are outraged at Israel’s
actions and at their own governments for not condemning Israel’s
assault and acting to end the violence. Simply stated, the Arab
governments do not represent their respective Arab populations. The
populations of the Arab nations have staged mass protests in opposition to not only Israel's actions but also the inaction of their own governments and what they view as either complacency or complicity in Israel's crimes.

Lie #5) Israel is not responsible for civilian deaths because it
warned the Palestinians of Gaza to flee areas that might be targeted.

Israel claims it sent radio and telephone text messages to residents of Gaza warning them to flee from the coming bombardment. But the people of Gaza have nowhere to flee to. They are trapped within the Gaza Strip. It is by Israeli design that they cannot escape across the border. It is by Israeli design that they have no food, water, or fuel by which to survive. It is by Israeli design that hospitals in Gaza have no electricity and few medical supplies with which to treat the injured and save lives. And Israel has bombed vast areas of Gaza, targeting civilian infrastructure and other sites with protected status under international law. No place is safe within the Gaza Strip.

You really have lost it girl. Too much target practice with Palestinian children has turned you to a mindless robot.

Take a breather, or two ;-)

There is no doubt that IRI has been supporting the Hamas and Hezbollah in Lebanon. Point of the matter is Hamas is a creation of Israel.

In 1970's Hamas was create and funded extensively in order for Israel to combat 1) PLO, and 2) exert total control over Gaza.

Israel, LIKE Nazi Germany, has grand plan of [FINAL SOLUTION] for Palestine.

I point your attention to the comment I placed on a thread by Mr. Bakhtiar as follows: //iranian.com/main/2009/jan/collaborators-wor...

At the expense of being called lazy, I am copying verbatim what I commented in that thread.

Arafat renounced violence, so Israel had to get rid of him. Israel needs wars in order to create a Greater Israel.

Israel does not want Palestinians to be peace-loving.

Because that would prevent Israel from having more wars to create a Greater Israel.

Israel wants violent Palestinians.

Among the points made:

Hamas emerged from the ranks of the Muslim Brotherhood.
(Reportedly, the Muslim Brotherhood has long been used by MI6 and the CIA to weaken Moslem governments - Aangirfan)

2. Israel helped build up Hamas, which became a rival to Arafat’s Fatah.

3. Arafat’s PLO renounced violence and recognised Israel, prior to the Oslo peace talks.

(This did not suit Israel.)

Hamas refused to end violent resistance or to acknowledge Israel’s right to exist.

(This suited Israel)

4. The
Israelis, in the early 1990s, deported hundreds of key Hamas figures to
south Lebanon, where they began working with Hezbollah.

(Israel needs Hezbollah if it is to have an excuse to take over South Lebanon, with its valuable water supplies.)

5. In 1997, Arafat had Hamas pinned down, and Arafat was rounding up Islamists by the thousand.

Benjamin Netanyahu,
Israel’s prime minister, organised the bungled assassination of Khalid
Mishal. This helped Hamas to revive and survive.

(This suited Israel).

6. Mossad, under Efraim Halevy, came up with a plan, agreed to by the Bush, to get rid of Arafat.

(Arafat was too much in favour of peace.)

7. Abbas was presented by the media as being a puppet of the Americans.

Hamas triumphed in the 2006 elections.

(This suited Israel)

8. Israel and its allies blockaded Gaza.

(Israel had an excuse to further weaken the Palestinians.)

9. John Bolton (and Israel) would like to give the West Bank to Jordan and Gaza to Egypt.

Then there would be no more Palestine.

10. Bolton believes Jordan and Egypt can be bribed.

Egypt relies on aid from the USA.

But Egypt fears it would be weakened if it had unhappy Palestinians under its control.

Proof #2 //www.antiwar.com/justin/?articleid=8449

"Israel and Hamas may currently be locked in deadly combat, but, according
to several current and former U.S. intelligence officials, beginning in the
late 1970s, Tel Aviv gave direct and indirect financial aid to Hamas over a
period of years. Israel 'aided Hamas directly – the Israelis wanted to use
it as a counterbalance to the PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization),' said
Tony Cordesman, Middle East analyst for the Center for Strategic [and International]
Studies. Israel's support for Hamas 'was a direct attempt to divide and dilute
support for a strong, secular PLO by using a competing religious alternative,'
said a former senior CIA official."

Middle East analyst Ray Hanania concurs:

"In addition to hoping to turn the Palestinian masses away from
Arafat and the PLO, the Likud leadership believed they could achieve a
workable alliance with Islamic, anti-Arafat forces that would also
extend Israel's control over the occupied territories."

Respectfully

Top lie IRI makes

by AnonymousX (not verified) on

... or should I say top facts the IRI hides from Iranians?

Facts such as Palestinians sending volunteers to kill Iranians in the iran-iraq war, despite being the receipient of khomeini's generosities.

The IRI had cleverly swept this under the rug.

Talking about spinning facts...

'Crushing Ants'

And if it comes to war? Fallon replies with stark, brutal clarity:

"'Get serious,' the admiral says. 'These guys are ants. When the time comes, you crush them.'"
