Malaysia, a relatively secular nation for the past 25 years is turning more and more into a backward Islamic nation. Following account of a 32 year old woman sentenced to public whipping for drinking beer during Ramezan in a hotel lobby is but just a small example:
//www.nytimes.com/2009/08/25/world/asia/25malaysia.html?_r=1&hpw
In Malaysia, Islamic laws are only applied to Muslims and Muslim visitors. But, what do you think happens to a lets say young Malay woman who wants to convert from Islam to maybe Christianity? Yes, you guessed right. She won't see her next birthday.
How is this happening? Well, thanks to IRI and Billions of dollars which are sent out to Malaysia each year by the Mullahs, hard core Islamic groups are being funded handsomely to carry out "backwardization" of Malaysia.
IRI elements travel to and stay in Malaysia as students. Malaysia now has 70,000+ Iranian students. Even if 5% of these students were IRI elements for distabilization and "backwardization" of Malaysia, and these 3,500 IRI animals had access to billions of $ what do you think will happen to Malaysia? It will soon become another Islamic Shit Hole like IRI.

Islamic Terrorism is result of IRIs "export of revolution"
by Farhad Kashani on Tue Aug 25, 2009 04:44 PM PDTFaramaz Jaan,
Excellent piece as always. Keep writing and telling the truth.
You have touched on the core issue and that is IRIs inspiration for other Muslim countries to adopt a violent form of Islam. IRI has been doing that for 30 years now. It did that since day 1. All Islamists movements, Al Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbullah and others, and every Imam in any Muslim country who takes arms and kills innocent people in the name of Islam, is inspired by Khomeini and his movement to revitalize what they call “Pure Islam”. Even UBL admitted that himself.
IRIs inspiration and support for Islamic fundamentalism is a way, way, way, way, bigger threat than its possession of nukes. The U.S is losing the Iraq war to IRI inspired and supported people, not to IRIs nuke. So for the love of god, why are they talking about nukes and not about IRI real threat, its inspiration and model for Islamic Fundamentalism?
No one w/ enough experience!! LOL
by Faramarz_Fateh on Tue Aug 25, 2009 03:06 PM PDTThanks to the marvel thats called the internet, news actions based on of barbaric Islamic Sharia law disseminates fast these days. The news of this particular caning was spread world wide in a matter of several hours.
The government of Malaysia not wanting to look like another Afghanistan or Iran, has back pedalled now!
Right! No one with enough experience to cane according to Sharia law! LOL My ass
Must be Iranian plot

It looks like this lady will not be caned!
by yolanda on Tue Aug 25, 2009 01:10 PM PDTThis beer lady refused to appeal and wanted to be caned in public! Even though she chose to be caned instead of appealing the case, she did have a sad look (meaning she does not want the caning)! The Islamic court in Malaysia has decided to put the caning on hold indefinitely 'cause "the prisons department did not have staff with the 'expertise' to administer the caning according to Shariah laws." What a mess!

I wish I understood the whole thing!
Mis quote
by Abarmard on Tue Aug 25, 2009 10:01 AM PDTI said ONE OF the largest, not THE largest. I wrote that in English. It is a Muslim country and it's ranked 13th out of 48 world's Muslim Nations. Their State religion is Sunni and therefore more probable to be influenced by Pakistan or Saudi, not to mention their own very religious population!
I did not read the article and if you are specifically refering to, you did not provide any links for our viewing. Please do so. I would like to read the claims the article makes. (I searched the net, didn't find it).
Thanks.
the link to IRI is just a fantasy
by Anonymous8 on Tue Aug 25, 2009 09:34 AM PDTthere is no support for it. it would make iri very powerful if you are right, but you are not. islam is on the rise in many countries. how do you explain turkey, egypt or pakistan? iri? this is not true.
I defend malaysia's laws, it is the will of their muslim people. no one has said that the population is against it. in secular thailand and singapure there are similar kaning laws for petty crimes.

No need to learn any fancy language
by Lynn Wong Abdullah on Tue Aug 25, 2009 08:14 AM PDTMalaysia's main language for commerce and business is English, just be able to get a passable English, one will be fine to get around and be in Malaysia! Pls note, she wants to be whipped and not only that, she wants it to be carried out in public! I can't make sense of this in anyway!
Thank you Abarmard; I really needed your input
by Faramarz_Fateh on Tue Aug 25, 2009 07:58 AM PDTFirst you claim Malaysia is one of the largest Muslim nations. When your statement is countered by facts, you conveninetly move on to another question as claim and then you proclaim time spent on this issue a waste. You really have delusions of grandure my misinfored Muslim brother. I guess your login ID is a telling tale.
Where I got my info was August 19 2009 issue of Financial Times, Malaysia edition, page 5 over fold. An article about increasing influence of Iran on Muslim clerics in Malaysia.
I guess you have more facts and know more about ins and outs of Malaysia than a reputable news paper reporter.
Finally, you call Malasian's court system backward as if Iran's court system is the most modern! LOL
Remember, your countrymen are hanging youth below the age of 16 from make shift hanging contraption made up of crains and I beams. May I also remind you that stoning is also taking place in Iran?
A strange case!
by yolanda on Tue Aug 25, 2009 07:35 AM PDTThe Prime Minister of Malaysia wants the lady to appeal her case according to CNN, but the lady wants (wanted) to be caned in public! It is kind of strange. I wonder if the lady will change her mind.
Wow! So many Iranians live in Malaysia. I wonder what language they have to learn: Malay (the official language) ? English?
There are more than 70,000
by Lynn Wong Abdullah on Mon Aug 24, 2009 08:52 PM PDTThe Iranian population in Malaysia is increasing and 70,000 is not accurate. The last report it has reached more than 100,000 iranians comprising of students, working professionals and independent business merchants in Malaysia. Iranians in Malaysia makes up the most wealthy immigrants out here and the most highly educated. As with regards to funding, I have no evidences nor knowledge but it is not too far fetch of an idea. Despite of the racial make up of Malaysia, the muslim community makes up the largest group and even amongst the muslim community it is highly divided and I know of some Iranians out here getting a hard time from the muslim community here simply because Iranians are shia and we are sunnis! Whatever it maybe, down with the regime of IRI!
From where did you get here?
by Abarmard on Mon Aug 24, 2009 08:04 PM PDTFrom what base did you arrive to your conclusion that the Islamic Republic is behind the "Court ruling" of Malaysia?
Since when "Sharia law" is an Iranian invention? Why wouldn't Taliban be influencing the courts or the richer Saudi Arabia won't be a part of this? Why would you even think that Iran is responsible for the backward mentality of another country (specially the court system!!) ?
I believe that any more time spent on this issue is more of a waste of time. I do not mean to be rude.
"Morons"
by Q on Mon Aug 24, 2009 04:14 PM PDTThese were the morons who cheered for Khomeini and voted for Islamic republic of Iran
You mean over 90% of Iranians are Morons?

Abarmard, sorry but YOU are out of line
by Faramarz_Fateh on Mon Aug 24, 2009 03:26 PM PDTLargest Muslim country?! You have your facts wrong my misinformed Muslim Brother.
Malaysia has appx 25M people; Muslim 60.4%, Buddhist 19.2%, Christian 9.1%, Hindu 6.3%, Confucianism, Taoism, other traditional Chinese religions 2.6%, other or unknown 1.5%, none 0.8% (2000 census)
Unlike the tiny country of Malaysia, the following countries have a whole bunch of Muslims: Around 30 to 40 countries in the world are Muslim-majority. South Asia and Southeast Asia contain the most populous Muslim countries, with Indonesia, Pakistan, India , and Bangladesh having more than 100 million adherents each.[10] According to U.S. government figures, in 2006 there were 20 million Muslims in China.[11]
Of the appx 15M Muslims in Malaysia, 3-4 Million are Shiet and easily manipulated by IRI.
Please for once consult sources on the web such as Wiki and CIA fact book. My data is from there.
Is it true that there are
by vildemose on Mon Aug 24, 2009 03:01 PM PDTIs it true that there are 70,000 Iranians students in Malaysia?
Lynn Wong Abdullah:
Are you aware of Islamic groups being funded by the Islamic republic in your country?
LOL Faramarz, loolloo khorkhoreh is out to get you
by Q on Mon Aug 24, 2009 02:34 PM PDTif you think it's bad in Malaysia, have you thought about what can happen if 5% of Iranians in US or Canada were "IRI supporters" ?
They are out to get you!
This has got nothing to do with Iran and is blown out of proportion by people who stopped thinking straight in the late 70's.
Down with IRI and its supporters
by Sohraby on Mon Aug 24, 2009 02:13 PM PDTThat's right, IRI spends billions of dollars of Iranian wealth to turn countries like Malaysia into a savage backward islamic land. IRI supports hamas which is mainly a sunnit organization. IRI twits never stop supporting their boss!
This is out of line
by Abarmard on Mon Aug 24, 2009 09:25 AM PDTThe Islamic Republic of Iran influencing one the largest "Sunni" Muslim countries in the world. It's a claim hard to digest and harder to prove. Sounds more like gossip.
Today's news
by Lynn Wong Abdullah on Mon Aug 24, 2009 09:13 AM PDTAs this case is gaining more momentum, the imam, bilah and religous authorities are able to just arrest without any warrant should they caught Muslim drinking be in in the month of Ramadzen or any other months for the matter. Please also take note that the woman in question in this particular case 'confessed' that she had committed a crime by drinking beer and had asked to be canned/whipped. She will not be whip this month due to ramazen, but it will take place after ramazen. Should this ever take place it would be a precedent in Malaysia. Leading NGOs and women groups are protesting over this ruling by the shariah court. Indeed, Malaysia is at the brinks of being another IRI. God, help us all!
