G. W. "moron" Bush was ruling the world back in 2002. His approval rating was over 60%. Iraq was was going fantastically and there were less than 800 dead soldiers. The idea of someone in the national scene raising his voice against Bush the Moron was unthinkable.
But, late 2002, Howard Dean, who has been the head the Democratic National Committee for the past almost 4 years started questioning and challenging Bush the moron. It was Dean who enabled the quiet as a mouse Democrats to start speaking their mind and challening Bush and the Republicans. Granted the F'ed up economy is probably the biggest election factor now, but lets remember the good Dean did for the U.S. and for that matter the world.
I wonder if Dean will have a cabinet position if B. Hussein Obama becomes president elect on Nov 5.

Yes "Its The Economy Stupid"...
by Khar on Sun Nov 02, 2008 02:11 PM PSTAs President William Jefferson Clinton paraphrased and than gave us 8 years of prosperity and peace! Economic conditions are created by man its not dropped out of sky, Clinton was able to manage the economy and when he left the office his popularity was at 75% (even after the witch-hunt). So economy has a lot to do with how people vote and the voters (people) know Barack Hussein Obama can deliver same as Bill Clinton did 16 years ago. As for Howard Dean, no doubt he has a lot to do with Democratic party’ turn-around he reminded us the Americans that there is such thing as democracy and Bill of Rights in this country.
BTW let's show some respect, let's refer to the next President of these United States of America, our President, by his proper and full name: Barack Hussein Obama and get use to it and fast!
Howard Dean
by Anonymous2008 (not verified) on Sun Nov 02, 2008 01:21 PM PSTMr. Fateh, I am in agreement with you that Dean turned around a totally disorganized Democratic party into a well organized and efficent organization. Obama has acknowledged that fact as well and will be indebted to him big time.
As usual, main point missed
by Faramarz_Fateh on Sun Nov 02, 2008 12:30 PM PSTAs usual, main point missed by a mile. Dean laid the foundation for the Dems.
I did not say anything about his ability to communicate, campaign etc.
Also, winner take all argument does not have anything to do with the general elections. Obama is wining because he has more $$$. Clintons pissed off too many people of power. Once you do that, you are done. No more, no less.
Hillary
by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on Sun Nov 02, 2008 12:29 PM PSTFirst of all, many of the votes cast for Hillary were part of a scheme, yes, scheme, to bleed Obama by none other than the pscycho Reich-wing radio listeners. People were instructed to register en masse as dems to vote in the primary for hillary. Hillary knew it, everyone knew it, and all she said was "I always knew Rush had a crush on me. Thanks for telling them to vote for me Rush Limbaugh!"
It was known as Operation Chaos and it worked. Obama and Hillary BOTH wasted a lot of money, but mostly Hillary, who had to tap into her own funds.
The majority of the Democratic party said NO MORE BUSHES OR CLINTONS in the white house.
Carl Rove was on the Clintons side
by Anonypishi (not verified) on Sun Nov 02, 2008 11:54 AM PSTI wonder how the picture of Obama, wearing the North African costume, got to the office of Matt Drudge!!
If the world could vote?

Dean changed the rules of primary and that's why Obama won.
by Anonymous on Sun Nov 02, 2008 11:17 AM PSTyou post is clear that you have no idea how primary changed this year.
Dean changed the rules for "winner take all" for electoral votes. Pelosi and the team intimidated the Caucasus. Obama did not win popular vote in primary. Senator Clinton, by all accounts, except caucuses, won the Primary Election and, therefore, should be the 2008 Democratic Nominee.
We will hear about this only if Obama loses in the general election. The blame game will start then.
Obama owes his wining only to Mr. Axelrod his campaign manager and his "Carl Rove"..the only bad news is that Axelrod candidate win the campaign and then they flop. Governor Patrick is your prime example.
Now go do your homework.
oh please. everyone begged him not to run again
by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on Sun Nov 02, 2008 09:24 AM PSTHe's right about his criticisms, but he's a bad campaigner, and it's old-fashioned. Obama isn't winning because he's bashing bush. he's winning because he's offering change, which includes change from the deaniac crowd. He's trying to incorporate EVERYONE, even conservatives who are pissed about overspending.
Dean got his DNC chairmanship and he should be happy. Every time he goes on TV he says stuff he shouldn't. He belongs in a bunker far away so he can't ruin everything. His heart's in the right place, but he's awful at communicating.
