Whenever the lovely NIAC lobby or one of its cyber defenders care to or have the time, please answer the following simple question.
Even though the NIAC lobby is on the record opposing U.S. money for democracy activists in Iran, NIAC lobby has gotten and or is getting some of its funding from U.S. based foundations some of which are partially funded by U.S. tax payers. If that is a wrong statement of fact, please correct me.
The recent news report that NIAC lobby’s Chief lobbyist and irreplaceable lifetime president is doing some work for U.S. State Department. If he is compensated in anyway, be it the cost of lodging alone, that constitutes working for.
Now the question:
Why is it ok for the NIAC lobby to be supported by U.S. and not others with different agenda than what NIAC lobby has been advocating, namely making nice with the Islamist Rapists?

The proof of "Fred"
by Sargord Pirouz on Thu Oct 28, 2010 09:25 AM PDTCome on, you Israelis at "Fred" are regular propagandists here on the IC. The proof can be seen in your daily posts.
Have you folks ever written personal posts or comments that do not pertain to negative themes about Iran? Ever? No.
We know nothing about you people, personally, besides the fact that some of you post during Israeli working hours, and most of the time you're challenged at writing in English.
So yeah, there's your proof. You want to disclaim it? Tell us about yourselves, your family histories, your personal interests besides anti-Iran politics.
Otherwise, you just come off as a bunch of mean-spirited Hasbara cads. Who knows, maybe that's all you people really are, which is pathetic.
Shameless Islamist liar
by Fred on Thu Oct 28, 2010 09:22 AM PDTIslamist nuke lobbyist for the Islamist Rapists whose salary is paid from a NIOC grant says:
“Israel lobbyist and confessed AIPAC agent, Freddo,”
"confessed Agent" prove it you shameless Islamist liar, prove it!
Boro Haji, you Islamists are corrupt to the core!
Is there not a contradiction here?
by Mammad on Thu Oct 28, 2010 08:55 AM PDTOn the one hand, Israel lobbyist and confessed AIPAC agent, Freddo, says that NIAC is a lobby for the IRI. If he knows it, so should the State Department.
On the other hand, the same lobbyist says that Trita is doing work for the State. So, the same State Department that knows Trita and his organization are an IRI lobby does not care and let him do the work anyway?
This is absurd to say the least. If both claims are true, then we can only conclude that the State has been taken over by the IRI agents!!
Aside from the contradiction, name the Foundation that funds NIAC, but some of its funds come from the taxes. Name it to demonstrate it to the readers that you are not as usual making things up just to score point - in your fantasies, of course.
As far as I know, the Foundations that have funded NIAC are totally private.

Silent hypocrites
by Fred on Thu Oct 28, 2010 01:47 AM PDTTo have the otherwise vociferous cyber supporters of NIAC lobby deafeningly silent on the question posed, is to no surprise.
After all, defending hypocrisy is not an easy task, even for NIAC lobby which uses it as its everyday M.O.
Hi Maryam
by Sargord Pirouz on Wed Oct 27, 2010 02:38 PM PDTI just spent four hours performing upgrades to my motorcycle. It turned out to be harder work than I anticipated, but it's operational once more.
As far as one of the writers from Fred's questioning goes, I suggest these Israelis first address the many pro-Zionist organizations in the US that perform a great deal more lobbying in DC than NIAC, yet do not file as lobby groups with the US government. They are also less than transparent with regards to their funding. Let's take into account these Israel-first groups in America, before we start picking on the ultimate underdog, NIAC.
But hey, like I told MM: without these crazy ideas coming from malignant Iranian exiles, as well as war mongering Zionists residing in Israel such as the folks that make up "Fred", what else do these people have going for them? Not much of anything.
I have to say, this is getting boring. And it's also becoming toilsome to see Darius self-abase himself with those childish YouTube links. Crissakes , this person fancies himself as some kind of prancing intellectual, but he hasn't even read a book in nearly two years! Too busy surfing other people's YouTube links. How lowbrow can you get? All this from someone who was once a member of the upper middle class in Iran during the 1970s. Now? Well, I think his habitual refuge of posting YouTube links speak for themselves.
Me? It's one of the kids' birthday today. Party later this afternoon, after school. No further time to spend on self-hating Iranian exiles and warmongering Israelis, I'm gonna have some fun.

I must make sure he is keeping to his medicines regularly I am really worried for him! I have such a soft spot for the underdog.

by MOOSIRvaPIAZ on Wed Oct 27, 2010 10:50 AM PDTyou say "I have No doubt that NIAC Does Useful Things for IRanian Americans ...`"
I have never seen you defend or try to at least sympathize with the cause of NIAC on this site. All I see is you attacking this organization or character assassinating its key members. What gives?
Thank You Anahid Jaan for your Sincere Response
by Darius Kadivar on Wed Oct 27, 2010 10:48 AM PDTI have No doubt that NIAC Does Useful Things for IRanian Americans per se ...`
But Here Trita is acting on behalf of Iranians in general on a global basis by stepping into the arena of foreign policy.
If he is doing this as Trita Parsi a Swedish Foreign Policy Consultant, then why not ? But if he is acting on behalf of his organization which claims to be apolitical and grass root then I am sorry to say that he is cheating the people he is supposed to serve first and foremost: Iranian Americans. In addition to turning NIAC into something else than merely a community oriented organization but rather a Political Party. In which case like the French would say : Tous Les Coups Sont Permis !
In otherwords it becomes legitimate for any Opposition group to do anything to discredit him and NIAC because they become an obstacle between these organizations and the regime in Iran.
I don't think that is fair towards those who have been supporting NIAC from day one thinking it was aiming to defend their interests as a community in the United States and empowering them on a national scale on the American territory.
In addition this is all the more troublesome that he allows himself to lecture IRanians who oppose the Regime in Iran (some of whom unlike him ARE Iranian American and have unambiguously for better or for worse openly declared their opposition to the IRI from Day One) from trying to benefit from the Democracy Fund but then sees no problem from doing the same.
From that point of view Trita Parsi's ambiguity is all the more questionable to any honest observer.
What is Certain however is that Political Bull Shitting has a Great Future in International Relations ... As Such I have absolutely No worries about Trita's Brilliant Political career ...
I am Not sure his fellow compatriots be it in or outside Iran will benefit from the same luxury and freedom of Speech ...
Dariush jan, let me answer the question
by Anahid Hojjati on Wed Oct 27, 2010 10:02 AM PDTDear Darius, Moosirvapiaz is not answering the question because there is no good answer for it. I am a member of NIAC but that does not mean that I have to bless every little thing Trita says. No, it is not OK when Trita Parsi tells others that they cannot accept money and then he accepts money (if he does). That being said, I still think overall NIAC does some good work for Iranian-Americans but if they take a position which is wrong, I will not hesitate to criticize them. Here on IC, we critcize IRI, United States, Moujahedin, Tudeh and whole bunch of entitie, so we should be able to criticize NIAC without being called agents of Israel.

What is the question Kadivar?
by MOOSIRvaPIAZ on Wed Oct 27, 2010 08:56 AM PDTI belong to no hezb or ideology. I support freedom and democracy. what I am against is achieving them through physical war or economic warfare (sanctions). Both target my people inside Iran. Any issue I have with posts or members on this site should be seen in this context.

Glad you agree with me that Fred and mahmoudg are traitors
by MOOSIRvaPIAZ on Wed Oct 27, 2010 08:12 AM PDTDarius kheili aaali , for once I agree with you. Both want war with Iran so naturally they are traitors and self hating Iranians.
As for what I am, does it matter? Would you guys believe me even i told you? No you wouldn't. because as the iranian.com members logic goes, anyone who is against sanctions/war must be a regime supporter.

Yes, lets support Iran war supporters instead!
by MOOSIRvaPIAZ on Wed Oct 27, 2010 07:53 AM PDTWhat a great idea coming from two advocates of Iran war. Lets send in self proclaimed experts of middle-east who would like nothing better than to ratchet up tension in the region.
It is also fascinating how the same old discredited slogans are used to target Trita and NIAC. To your war advocating minds, anyone who is for moderation and less tension in the region must be a lobbyist working for the regime. Anyone who supports bombing of innocent Iranians must be a freedom loving Iranian patriot!
well, the answer is simple, Fred
by mahmoudg on Wed Oct 27, 2010 07:33 AM PDTBecause Mr. Trita Parsi is an agent of the Islamic Rapist Republic that you, I and millions of others are figthing to terminate and this moron, is fighting to preserve. There is a massive Law suit against him that i hope will finally bring this IRI groupie out of his shell and expose his true intents over his efforts to ensure the longevity of the Rapist regime.
