Musings of a former chicken

Try to picture this; I’ve tried with no success, maybe you’ll do better.

You’re a proud eighteen year old young man from the legendry Iranian patriot producing Azerbaijan corner of the country. Your mother is lying flat on a bench with her wrists tied, a brute begins the lashing.

To keep count of the blows you begin counting in your head, one, two, twelve, twenty seven, thirty three, forty one, fifty nine, seventy eight and the final one, the blessed ninety nine.

Bernard-Henri Levy of French newspaper Liberation has conducted an interview with Sajjad Ghader-zadeh. He is the son of Sakineh M. Ashtiani, the 43 year old Iranian lady waiting to be murdered by either stoning or some other barbaric Islamist method.

She has already endured much including a forced televised confession and a mock execution. Here is part of the telephone interview; the rest can be read at the link below.

“Who are you Sajjad? What do you do for a living?

I'm 22 years old. I am the eldest child of Sakineh. I work from 6 am to 11 pm as a bus ticket controller. For the rest ... all my thoughts are dedicated to a single goal: to save my mother.

In all conscience, are you certain that the accusation is unfounded?

In my soul and conscience, yes. A thousand times yes. It is a pure lie. It is an incredible injustice. My mother, who did nothing, nothing, is at risk of stoning. All the while the real murderer, Taheri, is free...

Is it true that you were there when your mother suffered 99 lashes in 2006?

It is quite true. This took place in a courtroom in the town of Oskou in Tabriz province. I was devastated. I felt so much hate and I cried.”

I’ve tried, really tried to imagine what Sajjad is going through, how he functions on daily basis or after witnessing his mother being flogged, 99 times, how he has kept his sanity, but can’t even begin to imagine it.

The only salvation for Iran and Iranians, the only hope for avoiding a devastating war IRR is imposing on everyone is in the overthrow of these Anti-Iranian Islamist barbarians.

Those who think there is any possibility however remote of reforming these Islamists are just plain wrong. Nazis were unreformable, Khmer Rouges were unreformable and Islamist Rapists are unreformable.
